PPS ( Priority Passenger Service)passengers are SIA regular customers . PPS as we called them, are usually company executives or senior staff travelling on their companies' budgets. Some are rich individuals who can afford to pay,say about 5 times more than what an economy ticket would cost. Of course, a first class ticket would cost around 2 to 4 times more than a business class ticket. PPS are very pampered customers, to the extent that some of them think they own SIA.
There are those who would throw tantrums when they do not get their choice of meals/drinks or seats or their friends upgraded from the economy class or any damn desire of theirs. Some, would abused the crew verbally while others physically. Cabin crew had been called all kinds of names and their parents cursed. A few spoilt PPS brats would kick,punch,spit and assault the crew for little things. I bet you, when these asses travel with BA, UA, Qantas or any ang moh airlines,they suddenly become obedient and well behaved. But I have an advice for such paxs, bring your own food and drinks whenever you fly.

Hahaha. I am not a crew but can relate very well to how you people feel.. my ex-boss is a PPS and now Solitaire member. Even my travel agent gets piss making travel arrangements for him.
Maybe your ex-boss should bring his own food and drinks the next time he flies...or maybe kenah already..hahaha.

Hi! my PPS sir/madam,hope the incidents I descibed would never happen on your future flights...do you know when that fat slob lawyer spat at the stewardess, not 1 pax came to her rescue or the ones who threw their meal trays at the crew or those who punched the crew etc. I spent over 35 yrs with MSA/SIA and I have seen a lot. These days we do not have the likes of Eric Chia or the late David Marshall who was willing to help the boys who were involved in the London "Bakery Case" ( please read my earlier article on the Bakery case)
Boh Tong, TG means thanks God! I do not mean it did not happen. I was lucky. Sometimes I feel that crew treat Ang Mohs better than me. So some crews are not nice too. Most are great like you.
Aiya, isn't it illegal to assault people? My question is how could crew let themselves be abused, hit? Is it true or fabricated?

Well, you are right because some of the crew discrimante against Asian. Its part of life but be persitently nice to them and you will see the change in their attitude towards you. Asians are not inferior to Caucasians.
I am telling you the truth my friend. Of course it is a crime to assault people let alone a crew. After Sept 11, there were less cases of paxs physically abusing the crew worldwide. These paxs knew that they will be arrested and punished severely.

those Pps can afford to travel business/first class cos of their company budget.. Their company pay for their tickets, & accumulate their miles, therefore they are PPS...
if they go holiday themselves which i haven seen alot. eg. hkg/bkk/tpe.. they sit in ecomomy class.. y? simply because they cant afford the exp business class airface..
if you are those damn rich, u will always travel business class evn when u go holidays..
i did a flight recently & this solitaire in ECONOMY class asked me for a copy of the newspapers..
Currently economy have ran out of papers.. It's impossible for everyone to have a copy of the paers, & therefore i told him 'sir currently i dun have, i check & i come back to you'..
he immediately took out his solitaire card & pass to me 'u take this cAd to business class & they will pass u one copy of the paper'..
I told this old CHINESE idiot 'sir, u dun have to show me your card, i will try my best to help anyone here if i can'..
then i went to business class & asked the crew for a paper but the because business class was still boarding pax, & therefore at the moment they are not able to spare me a copy..
I returned & told the old IDIOT & say i will come back to him. Without a word, he walkeds to Business class & took a copy of the papr fromthe trolley..
Meanwhile i was end of the aircraft helping another ppassenger with his bag, this old idiot came to me & show me the card again & say 'THIS CARD HAD NO PROBLEM IN GETTING 10 COPIES OF THE PAPERS FOR ME''.then he walk away..
Sue, I was a crew like you before, then a cce(ct). I spent 35+ yrs with SIA and understand how you felt. Solitaire? that ass is not fit for the dumps. They are damn demanding,at least not all,thank goodness.
There was 1 pps who threw his card at the crew because he couldnt get his meal choice. There was another one cut his pps card and cursed the crew. Yet another one threw his meal tray at the crew.The list goes on and on......Well i am now in retirement and thank god, dont have to face those peasants.Thank goodness the majority of them are still ok.

I wish to add here, not only these 'spoilt' pax who shud be weary but even d bitchy senior crew or cockpit crew as well. I was very new then, when i saw a senior crew place a steak on d ground, stepped on it & served it to d captain. Of course i was shocked!!!
Then again you should be aware that most air crews are as cocky when they are not on duty especially the pilots.
I totally agree with all of you about these cocky paxs. They are unlike the good ole days true blue Business and First class paxs. Paxs then travelled with a certain air & class .
heheheh today ? An office Ah Chek , Ah Pek , Auntie and and ah soh can travel on J. When become PPS or Solitaire ....wah lau eh ... With no offence and no discrimation intented ... their bahavior on board is a put off MOST OF THE TIME.. See lor if they paying from thier own pocket , they will go on cattle class or even budget !!! or even other carriers ...why ? cheaper mah ??

I just read your article about these cocky PPS now, and quite shocked with the facts. My father was a PPS before, and I should say it always be a pleasure for me to travel with him with such an excellent service. I can't even find a reason to throw a tantrum to the crew, esp. if you're the PPS member who get the best service in many ways. What's wrong with those crazy PPS anyway?
Funny to remember that I got a lot of Snoopy and Spongebob from my dad (who got them all from the generous cabin crew at Raffles Class, even though he was travel alone without any xiao pengyou). I love my cute treasure sooo much. Many thanks to the crew, we were having plenty great times on board.

Yes there are all types of passengers. Thank you for being so nice to my crew. They work very hard to please their passengers and sometimes it breaks my heart to see them being slapped and abused. Thank u for taking your time to comment and I hope you would visit my blog often

Is there anything wrong for the PPP or whatever old uncle to show his card. Maybe he thinks that there's certain no. of papers allocated for economy, biz class etc.
Since he is with economy n the papers are finished, its reasonable that he show the card to let u get the papers from the biz class.
i think in this case, its the attitude and how one interpret the gesture of another.
