One of our readers, left me a comment a while ago. I was corrected because I spelt "complaint" as compliant. I told him/her "my england is not so powderful leh" I never study hard when I was in school ,thats why I became a steward lor...and that reminds me of a story.....loonng before your time......( sounds like Tan Ah Teck or Moses Lim in "Under One Roof" right?)
On a night flight to Brisbane, a Singaporean lady passenger pointed to the tired looking stewardess who was struggling to serve a full load of passengers dinner, and told her 5 year old daughter..." better study hard or else become like this aunty and have to work so hard ."
If I ever lived again, I will "study very hard" or else if I am "...not good enough, life would kick "me" in my balls" and be told to "get out of "her" elite uncaring face". Hehehe, have a bery nice day!

Hi, I was the one who asked about the spelling, just to set the record straight, it was not my intention to correct your English, it was more of a reminder of a typo. Never was there any intention to be like the woman on the Brisbane flight. Every job is great, some people who are highly educated and hold top jobs can be so inconsiderate and uncaring towards other people, what good is that? A sincere and honest heart is what matters most. My two cents worth. Thanks.
Hi! Sorry lah. I don't mean to belittle you. I was trying to be humourous.Sorry if I have upset you. Sure, I know from the way you posted, you were sincere. I was not comparing you to that lady pax. It was a story I wanted to relate to my readers but it slipped my mind until I read your earlier posting.
Thanks and do pop in here if you have the time.
Thanks, I was not upset, only wanted to set the record straight, so as not to create the impression that a cabin crew job is a lousy job. On the contrary, it is a respectable job. Nobody should be judged on what job they do, but rather, they should be judged by how honest and sincere they are in the way they treat others.
Good to hear that you are not upset at all.Agreed, it is a respectable job and like you just said, one should be honest and sincere in treating others.
I hear it all the time, my parents used to say "study hard or else..", but when it comes to looking for a job, I think experience beats the crap out of education. It's much more useful to some point.
Coz for me even though I have a diploma, my chances of getting hired is low compared to an 'O' Level holder with like 3 years of experience in whatever. In my opinion. Of course education is still important, it's just not the most important thing out there.
By the way, I also get corrected sometimes, hehe. I miss words in my writings and I spell wrongly sometimes. Embarrassing... :P
Hey ira, Good to see ya again! Experience plus education will carry you far. In my case, I have alot of crap experience but lack education ( O level only...40 over years ago leh).
Nothing to be embarrassed about cos everyone makes mistake.
Henceforth when you see any tired worker, in this case a stewardess..don't forget to say Thank you , Please, and Show a friendly face. I think this is a soft start to making any country a 1st world country faster, never mind the tall buildings and flashy cars you see there and what the bureacracy harps sometimes. I try to start the day by telling myself in the mirror while brushing my teeth. I want to see this face on those people I am going to see for the day :)
Well said! would be nice to have more of your type...thanks and do drop by again.
