My Big Boss...a smart Alec!

The postion of the cabin crew executives (training/check) was made redundant by our previous big boss who in the end was kicked out of SIA by his bigger bosses. We called it 'retribution'.
This one of a capital "B" was so insecured with the CCEs around that he decided in the "best interest of SIA", to get rid of them. I, for one do not really know whether it was insecurity or hatred for the CCEs that made that ass executed his plan.
This ass then joined some unknown "no value airlines" and made a mess of it and left before that airline's demise.
If one were to look at the statistics, one would realised the standard of inflight service on SIA had slipped far down the ladder.
According to Skytrax world rankings in past three years, SIA service had fell from 1st to 4th and 7th in the last 3 years.
Ncver before had SIA done so badly. Why? It was because SIA had the CCEs then to teach and impart their hundreds of combined years of experience to the crew.
Do you know that the CCEs were know as the "Black Ninjas" by their subordinates?
A Black Ninja was the creme ala creme of the Samurai in Japan. The CCEs were the Black Ninjas of the inflight service and without them, how could the service be maintained let alone improved.
I, personally feel sorry for the receipients of the current inflight service.
Well, like the saying goes,"All good things must come to an end", and so must SIA inflight service.

Why the animosity uncle after all most of the CCEs are old time for them to leave anyway. U must accept change in work structure. For the ex CCEs cherish the memories but dont think that ur indispensable, give the younger ones sm time to achieve to where u left.

No,there is no animosity cos i am stating the reasons for the decline in sv std. We had younger grads(CCE C/T)stting side by side wt us but they left too cos the post was made redundant.
We would gladly hand over to our younger grads. colleagues cos they were good too.
But SIA uses the supervisors and jnr. crew to teach(like MH)...but without teaching experience. Hope u got my pt.

i have to agree..Im a frequent flyer and used to fly SQ all the time. Of late (since 2-3 years ago) I realised that the crew did not serve with their hearts (unlike 6-10 years ago). Smiles were faked, crew were just going through the motions, it was nothing special unlike years ago when every crew were genuinely eager to serve and welcome u onboard - it was such a delight for me to fly SQ all the time previously...I would always give lufthansa a miss and choose SQ previously on my flights to frankfurt. Previously, flying EY on SQ was even pleasurable but not now. Everythings changed! Its sad but true. I have since switched to Cathay on my US bound flights or ANA to japan where service standards are equivalent but they charge less. In my opinion, SQ has lost its competitive edge. To regain some ground, it has to do lots...starting from the trainers as what Boh Tong had mentioned.

In my personal opinion, SQ crews pales in comparison to their counterparts in Silkair. I used to enjoy travelling on SQ due to the high service standards but these days, i would much prefer to travel with Emirates where possible. Even if i have a choice to choose between SQ and Silkair on regional flights, i would rather pick Silkair to SQ.
