Bar Manager In Singapore Murdered.

It's not a surprise anymore to hear of workers in bars, discos and entertainment outlets being horribly beaten to death by rowdy and sometimes intoxicated groups of customers or passerby.
The most recent case is being reported in today's Straits Times where a 33 year old bar manager was brutally beaten to death by a group of men and women in Singapore.
The killers have yet to be apprehended.
We hope the culprits would be arrested as soon as possible and dealt with mercilessly.
In the airlines, things like the above could have happened,if not for the tough laws introduced after September 11.
I recalled an incident where one of my colleagues was threatened by a passenger who said that he was able to get my colleague killed for a few bucks.
Another case was of a steward who was punched by a passenger for not being able to serve him in a manner he had expected.
A few cases, were of passengers spitting and kicking the crew.
I hope there would be tougher laws introduced to protect the often abused staff in the service line.

you have to agree with me bt that most of the aircrews especially the pilots can be very cocky too. Maybe that is why they are treated that way...

I do not think the crew can be that cocky to the paxs. But even if they are,one has no right to beat them up. The cowards got no right to brutally beat that bar manager to death.
