Honolulu,Hawaii and Las Vegas were two of the best......

It has been at least 18 years since SIA had stopped flying to Honolulu. The reason was economic, just like the Las Vegas flight which SIA had ceased to operate about 5 years ago.
When we were stopping in HNL ( Honolulu),the company housed us in the luxurious Ala Mona Hotel. Ala Moana Hotel is centrally located between downtown Honolulu and Waikiki, next to the world famous Ala Moana Shopping Center (over 240 stores) and adjacent to the huge Ala Moana Beach Park with picnic areas, wide beaches, tennis courts and jogging as well as other sea sports.
The cabin crew used to stopped at HNL for 2 to 3 days on the flight from SIN/HKG and to SFO vv.
Almost all the crew looked forward to this flight pattern as it was the most relaxing and fun station to be at.
I always remember the yummy Hawaian oxtail soup and the huge breakfast we used to eat at the YMCA,opposite the Ala Mona. These two menu were amongst the crew's favorite.
The shopping was great as well as the beautiful beach directly opposite the hotel.
Things to do in HNL :

Hi Matahari,
Uncle BT is right about SQ pattern being SFO initially. We started with DC10. At one stage, all DC10s worldwide were grounded and we had to use B707. On the way back from HNL to HKG, we called at Guam for refuelling. So we nightstopped there for another 2 or 3 days. The whole trip took about 20 days. It is indeed very memorable for us the older crew.

You must be really senior man ??? I did not operate B707 or DC 10 man...ah yo , you must be from MSA days is it ??? hheeeee

Anyway flying is so different then and now. Time has changed and so have we ...older mah ???? hahahha

I am sure someday if we can get together , we sure will be able to bring back the good olde days of flying. :)
