He is worst off without SQ..pt 2

The flight landed at Bangkok Don Muang International Airport in the late evening.The crew would night stop for a day at Bangkok,Thailand.
After the passengers had disembarked,Fatty the ifs (inflight supervisor)waited until the last cabin crew left the aircraft before he too left the aircraft and headed for the arrival area. It was a long walk to the arrival terminal and custom area.
About 2 months before Fatty's flight,SIA cabin crew management had a meeting with the security department and enlist their help to nap Fatty whom they suspected of stealing duty free liquor and Dom Perignon Champange. SIA cc had inside information that Fatty had stolen hundreds of bottles of liquor and sold them to his pub connection in Bangkok. Off course,this was illegal and any crew caught stealing liquor or any company stuff would be sacked instantly.
That night in BKK (Bangkok)2 plainclothes security men from S'pore had stationed themselves just after the custom clearance area,waiting for Fatty.They flew into BKK a day before Fatty's flight.
Jon the chief steward (2nd highest ranking cc)was the first to arrive at the custom check area. The Thai custom officers cleared him and let him through without a search.However,immediately after the custom area at the arrival hall,the 2 security men came up to Jon and flashed their i/ds and searched Jon's hand carried luggage. In it,they found a few bottles of SIA's Dom Perignon,Black Label Whisky and Brandy. They arrested Jon but before that Jon created such a big commotion that Fatty from distance(before custom check)noticed and knew that there was something cooking.Fatty hurriedly went to the toilet and off-loaded his bottles of liquors into the large waste bins. He then cleared custom and the 2 security men approached him.They did not find any stolen things in his bags.
Just to enlighten you,these crew made hundreds by selling the stolen liquor in BKK and other places. If you may recall, an ifs was caught stealing Dom,caviar and other duty free items into London last year.He was repatriated to S'pore and fined $2,000 in a S'pore court last year.
Stealing liquor from the airlines by crew is not an uncommon thing. It happens to many airlines,not just SQ. Some stole to sell and make a profit while others drank or gave them to their friends. There is nothing much the airlines could do except to discourage the cc from stealing by firing them if caught.
In the above case,Fatty was the target but Jon who helped carried the contra bands for Fatty was made to pay. Jon was a nice and obliging colleague whom Fatty made use of.
Fatty was always lucky to avoid being caught red handed. There was nothing SIA security people could do to Fatty. He retired "gracefully" at the age of 55. They even awarded him a handsome retirement gratuity. Today,Fatty drives a taxi and who knows what other illegal things he is doing?
They drive prestigious cars like these.

Its good to name & shame them. They did a lot of damage to many crew by using their position as IFS or as Union people. Present crew are lucky that these assholes are at the end of the road. Retribution is coming soon.

IFS Anthony Koh & Ong Choon Boon are the best people to ask. Ong Choon Boon once cut his credit card in London becoz he afraid Eddie ask him to take cash advance so that he can gamble in the casino.

Yes he is the king. Even carries his own set of tupperware containers. Whole flight never work except pack food and wines into his mamasan bag. If SQ want to cut costs, must sack him first.
Hope SQ management is reading this.

lets c what has been negotiated or delivered to the Crew's pockets via CA...

What good deal did the crew get??i'm just curious..anyone care to enlighten?? bearing in mind this CA is done in the yr the COmpany made the MAX amt of $$..

From the transparent system which exists currently, I believe the CA is a very good one with all ranks of crew benefitted compared to the CA of yesteryears where only the senior crew welfare are looked after.The extension of yesteryears are only for the cronys.The hotels are much better and improved vastly.No more Monach in TPE and Radisson in PEK which is not First Class.There is an increase in every component of the CA.The better one is the payout for male at age 45 yrs old.

I understand that with the current economic crisis, the crew also got service increment where other company are cutting pay. I just hope that there would not be a retrenchment as compared during the SARs which should not have happen as the numbers of those retrench are low.

Sorry did i miss something?? I thot Hotels are NO LONGER FIRST CLASS? u mean our hotels are getting better?? The clause HAVE been removed right? And are we cheering bcoz at 45 we gotta go?? well that leaves me w just a few short years then...
So...whats so good as i dun think i can get a similar job pay n benefits at 45...honestly....

Aiyah. Not go at 45 lah. More options at 45. Some crew want to be bussinessman and start 2nd career. Those who want to stay will stay lah. Last time, hotel got the First Class word but still stay in not First Class hotel. Union never take Company to task for the violation, Radisson at PEK & Monarch at TPE.Last time, hotel got no clause where the Union have a say. I think now they have a clause where the Union have a say.

True lah. There is so much the Union can do. Better leave the island and migrate lah. Maybe work as a waiter in OZ better loh. Why complain here and there and very so afraid.LPPL lah.

Talking about offloading.The KIMG OF OFFLOADING is IFS Ah Pek. He always has a mamasan bag with him. He alwyas instruct the Leading Crew working in First Class not to heat the main courses that are not ordered by passsengers and he Offload them, tin foils and all. His mamsan bag is full of foods. He is the KING.
