Chief steward arrested.

After the flight has landed at Changi Airport, chief steward R secretly packed a carton of milk and juice into his cabin bag and left the aircraft. R jolly well knew he was not supposed to take those stuff home as it would amount to theft but he didn't care a damn as he had done it many times before.
Meanwhile,R's junior crew hurriedly left the aircraft after him and alerted the security personnel about R.
After being alerted by R's jr crew, the police waited at the arrival area and arrested him. Understand he would be charged for theft.

BT. Now you know why the service standard on board is going down the drain. You must know why the jnr reported the CS, rite? There must have been something that happen during the flight.Cannot zap or correct them, right? Just be nice and close both eyes la. Then all will be ok. As long as there is no complaint from paxs or crew, the flt will be a good flt, right?

From the way things are going,it looks like the junior crew are holding the Company hostage.Any and everything they bring up,the Company has to be seen 'actioning' on it.Why?Well, simply because of adverse publicity if they were to be made public. And by Company I mean CC Management. They are always covering their own asses, regardless of the consequent to the crew.

Very very true. As for the Snr Crew, just put in their fair share of work. Most of the Snr Crew did not even bother to correct the crew for fear of reprisals: bad management, tyrant, etc. So all cruise along. No prob. Only thing is that the service will start dropping, surely. It can be seen now. Well, if you in in Rome, live like the Romans. Right, BT?

Well if the company is digging their own grave so be it!

Let the company promote the wrong people.

Let the so called Best Airline in the World drop to the bottom.

Service standard had dropped tremendously.

Junior crew holding the company hostage.

So why bother to correct the junior.

End of the day the leaders will have to pay the price.

Is it worth it?

The junior is mightier than those senior crew.

That will the the downfall of the airline.

Takes years for the company to realize the negative impact of team flying and remove it.

Prepare to leave Cabin Crew.
Its a deathtrap.
Do not be lull into a false sense of security.
10% cut, flight patterns cut,
promotion debatable, its no longer a workplace that recognises passion.
Its a witch hunt.

If you are above 45, you are caught.
Cant leave because of loans and kids.
If you are below 45, you think you are still valued.Think again.

Think you can survive by just following the book, stay in your room, be a nice supervisor, be nice to union, be nice to ward leader, sign up for courses, dont offload things, dont report sick?

Many others have done that already. Yet, one wrong move...
.. one carton of milk, one copy of newspaper, one wrong word, one decision that management feels is wrong, one accusation that you did not close the bar...

6000 crew... 10 less is not going to make any difference to SQ..
They are very confident 200 more will take your place.. and its encouraged by many blog sites that earn money by claims that they know the secret to be a airline crew.

Prepare to leave cabin crew.

BT this CS has been doing this for the last 20 yrs. From offloading coke, milk, dry stores, cockery etc etc...
It was only a matter of time. He also had other related offences during Chew Tal Lu's time as CPM. Therefore as much as I empathise with his predicament, the saying goes "You reap what you sow".

If u are rite Ex Crew then this cs deserves it!

Hi BT. What I'm saying is this. If you are a recalcitrant and are caught, accept the punishment and move on. There is always a price to pay. Ex CC who enjoyed the "free flow" of alcohol from the aircraft are now paying a price. Some are alcoholics and are sick because of over indulgence. Thus becoming a CC has its setbacks too. Many becoz of the LIFESTLYE exposure have become "bicycles", "alcoholics",
"thiefs", "molesters" etc etc. Many of them may have turned out differently if they not for the lifestlye in CC. Moral of the story? Dissuade others from joining CC especially loved ones.

Whoever blew the whistle on that Chief, she will get back her own Karma.

Cant think of anyone who do not offload something from the aircraft one time or another.

Even a Pen.

Dont tell me all the 7000 crew are angels!

HYPOCRATES!

One way of getting even with the Chief is to "Hit below the Belt"

What goes around comes around.

She will meet her match one day.

Never in the HISTORY of CC has one of its own reported his/her own colleaques of OFFLOADING food. What a joke this had become. Today, if you go to CC office, you can find some SQ pens lying around on some tables of Management. So it is another biggest joke.

Its indeed a sad day...

The perishable food stuffs left to rot in the carts are used by yr subordinates to "whack" U
While standing on a Moral high ground...

I'm not condoning the act whether is right or wrong...In life u can be right...but that doesn't make U correct..
I'm just lamenting the improper use of the "channels" and the self deluded high Moral grounds that the accuser/s used.
Remember..TWO wrongs doesnt make a RIGHT!

Now these fellow CC is going to go back to work...
Are they going to work with a "Immunity" Badge??
a "Double OO license"?? aka Jane and James Blonde?? exemption from the Mgmt?

Think abt it..

10 over pairs of eyes are eyeing U...

A forgotten pen conveniently left in the uniform...
A stack of post Its...
A few post cards that u've given out and "landed" in yr bag..
A Playing card for yr friend...
A Squarepants for yr new nephew or niece....
A Magazine...
A Paper....
A soft drink that u drank n stepped out onto the aerobridge still clutching it coz u were so busy with the turnaround that that's the 1st drink u had...(Technically,the Moment u STEPPED out of the Plane- U r PILFERING!!RIGHT??)

An average of 6 flights a month...x 2 sectors x 10 people watching U....

Good luck to the IFS,LS n LSS ( this is the 03 crew from what i heard )

God Bless U
The Pope

seriously. what right do u have to correct the jnr crew when u break the law yourself? simple rule of life. doesn't mean cos u're senior u're forever right. i feel sad for him too but it's really his own fault.
