What's the big deal with Malaysian cabin crew?

One will notice that SIA is conducting more cabin crew interviews in Malaysia than in Singapore. In June alone there are 3 walk-in interviews in Malaysia and none in Singapore. Many Singaporeans are keen to apply to be cabin crew with it's national airline so why go all the way to places like Ipoh, KL , Kuching and JB to recruit Malaysian cabin crew. Fyi MAS the Malaysian national airline does not even want to employ Singaporeans as it's cabin crew. The same goes for the pilots too.
Another thing is Malaysians are allowed to attend the interviews in S'pore whereas S'poreans are NOT allowed to attend the ones in Malaysia. Why the discrimination huh?
From my experience of working for 35 years with SQ as a cabin crew I am of the view that Malaysians are no better cabin crew than Singaporeans. There are no more the likes of Malaysians stewardesses like See Bee Wah, Pauline Ho, Angela etc etc anymore.
Don't believe what I have stated above is correct then you may visit SIA's website: http://www.singaporeair.com/saa/en_UK/content/company_info/careers/cabin_crew.jsp

sia may have done many walk in but the number of people that got in or pass the walk in usually very smalls. for example if 3000 applicants came for walk in, i dare to say not even up to 30 applicants can pass all the stages in their walk in. in the end, maybe only 12 out of 3000 people pass and go for training and only around 9 or 10 will become cabin crew because 2 or 3 people will either quit or not pass the exam.

My view of this:

Malaysian are better in taking hard life (endurance-ship), while Singaporeans are not?

It's kinda sad because i am a Singaporean too.

OR, there's more pretty ones from Malaysia ? I remember Malaysian always got in top 10 in Miss Universe.
