From David Blain

Thank you again for your help .I met Alan in London when he was a crew member . I was working at the Glouster Hotel at the time with my good friend Christine Whyte who is also attempting to locate Alan Khoo.
We had many friends with SIA . Jenifer, Michael Chong ,Josephine Chang , Ron Chi Weng .Mark Leong
And many more .
If any of you read this can you please send me an email ,we are very worried that something may have happened to Alan .
He had many cousins in Singapore If any of you know them perhaps you can pass on my concerns .
I plan to go to Singapore in the next few Months to see if I can track him down .
His Father worked in Raffles and was very well know in Singapore .
I spent 2 months in Singapore long time ago with Alan on a Vacation.
I have been getting emails from some freaks asking me for money as they have Alan and wont release him unles I send money .I know this is a scam .
Regards
David .Please send me an email

From Christine Whyte

I knew Alan very well in Sydney & he is the God-father of my daughter. He moved to Oriental Parade in Wellington NZ some years ago & visited every time he came to Sydney. Then all of a sudden nothing & no one seems to have heard from him since. It is all very strange that a person can simply disappera & there be no record of him ever existing.
Any help is appreciated.
Christine

The Goldilocks of cabin crew

article contributed by "Tau Pok"

"..Hmmm... the room smells so good and so are the paxxx and brxx...." ..Old d Cock (Odc) thought to himself. "This is the best room that I have ever visited...hehehe" Odc kept repeating.
He jumped into the bathtub which he had already filled up with warm water and had a good bath.
After his bath Odc ate the package of Char Siew duck rice which was left on the table. He then drank the coke from the half filled can and jumped into the warm bed and took a snooze. He was tired after working on a long flight from Singapore.
Vicky had just finished her shopping and entered the hotel lobby. She took a ride in the elevator and went straight to her room. The thought of having a nap after a long flight was a welcomed idea.
Vicky slid the key into the keyhole of room 12155 and turned to open the door to her hotel room. She had the good habit of keeping her room dark by closing the curtain and leaving only the bathroom lights on whenever she left her room. So it was dark as she entered her room except for her bathroom (the door was slightly closed).
As Vicky proceeded to ease herself in her toilet she noticed her bathtub was filled with water. Someone must be using her bath. The next thing she noticed was her packet of Char Siew duck rice was eaten up.
Vicky switched on the main bedroom light and was shocked to find a man sleeping in her bed!
Vicky let out a loud scream which woke the stranger in her bed and sent a few hotel staff running to her room. It was discovered that the stranger was her senior male colleague by the name of Odc.
The matter was reported to the office upon return to Singapore.
What happen after that I don't really know. Why was Odc in Vicky's room was anyone's guess? Was anything stolen from Vicky's room I am not sure.
Can someone who has an indepth to the story please furnish us with more facts?

Handsome steward? definitely not me..hahaha

Got this email from a young lady (got permission to publish ok)

Hi BT
I enjoyed reading your blog which have interesting stories.
I have some stories to share with you.
I am not from Singapore and I was going to Singapore and other asian countries for holidays with my relatives.
18 years ago was my first time going overseas and I flew with SIA (SQ at that time).
On our way back home from HK we had to transit Changi Airport for 4-5hrs.
We all sat at the tail of the plane.
Being a kiddy, I was fond of the games/toys that SIA gave to kids (That time it was a privileged to travel overseas as SIA was one of the main international carrier flying in and out of my country).
I was extremely limited with English as it was not my spoken language. I wanted a toy and I asked my sis (seated in front of me) to ask the crew but she didn't want too arg. With much fear I asked a steward for a toy and he gave me one even he was busy.
Before we land in my country the same steward was seated on his crew seat and he started chatting with me. He asked me general questions my name, age, where I'm from and where are my parents (I was seated by myself). I could answer them.
But then came the difficult questions I didn't answer him as I didn't understand and I asked my sis to help me but she didn't want too - shy (coz she being a teenager, has an eye on him because he was very handsome steward!). I kept quiet til we landed and I quickly ran towards my grand ma who sat on the other end of the middle seats when we were allowed to take our seat belts.
I feel REALLY bad until now that I didn't say bye to that steward fearing that he asked me more questions that I could not answer. I still have the toys I asked SIA crews previously and always remember this incident.
On the way to the terminal my sis told me that I should have taken a picture with that steward coz he was very handsome! and Yes he was handsome hahaha... regrets now hahahhaa. Can't remember his name also snif.
The following year I flew with SIA to Singapore and Thailand I was hoping that I could see him again. I did not realise that they are rostered hehe.
I don't think that the steward will remember this but I really hope this steward is in GOOD health and has a happy life and sorry.
Couple of years ago, I met SIA steward (housemate friend) and he heard that I was from this country and he told me that he used to fly there. He told me that no steward or stewardess wanted to announce the airport name as it was very difficult to pronouce. He asked me to help him but he could not. He said forget about it. hahahaha...
This steward told me he is fond of my country because he could wake up in front of the beach but there was nothing to do as the city is 1hr from the hotel. Very isolated hotel indeed but very close to the airport.
Since the SARS, SIA has stopped flying to my country very sad; prefer to travel with SIA better service and good crews.
The stewardess uniform is the nicest one even compared to Qantas - Sorry can't remember the technical word for it.
Anyway thanks for your time.
SIA crews be safe.
Thanks BT.

Is this true or false?

Is he/she talking facts or cock....it's for you to judge.

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "SIA cc a great place to work now!":

My take is,Alan's team will be out in the next election.Boon is capable and they have gathered a credible alamagated team.Alan's Heart team is now fragmented, disorganised and at best, weak.Eddie might be in as a consultant, with not much clout,so no worry of him 'abusing' his 'power'.Alan, tried to do his best for CC initially, but he bowed to pressure when he couldn't cope, through not wholly his fault, but the weakness of his support team.

Why call me a balls carrier?

When I said "kiss TPT's ass" it does not mean literally. What I am trying to say is to be grateful to him.
TPT does well by not retrenching the crew. You and I know perfectly well the number of deadwoods in cabin crew. Not only are they deadwoods but drawing big fat salaries too. These are mostly senior cc ( not all ok cos there are some good ones too). Make a survey and ask the junior crew whether I am right or wrong (you will have one soon).
As to the senior crew's retirement not being extended why blame TPT? Blame it on the recession. TPT is merely doing his job. BUT he could have retrenched or offer early retirement to the senior crew like his predecessor.
There others who accused TPT of dismissing those male crew who molested the stewardesses or stole SIA's belongings. In fact those wrong doers were lucky to be sacked. There will come a day when another SVPcc would have these type of cases reported to the police and have them jailed and caned for molest or theft.
Hello senior cc be grateful la not only to TPT but to SIA as well who takes good care of you from the cradle to your grave!

SIA cc a great place to work now!

From the polls I carried out (right side bar bottom la) CC isn't a good place to work. Frankly from my view point, it would just be the opposite.I will tell you why.

During the past one year the world's economy was in a deep recession. The financial crunch caught a lot of us by surprise. The travel industry was not spared and SIA lost a lot of money.
It was worse than the SARS crisis. What was gratifying was that SIA did not retrench a single crew or staff. Cabin crew division with hundreds of excess crew merely resort to a small paycut and encouraged its crew to go on unpaid leave. SIA lost 2 consecutive quarters.
This situation was not like that of SARS. During SARS, cc retrenched crew and shoved the early retirement to me and my colleagues (CCEs). There was panic in the division.
The current SVPcc did not take advantage of the financial situation of SIA to rid the crew. I think he is a smart and compassionate man and I salute him.
Had he been our SVP back then,my ex colleagues would have kissed his ass. To be honest, some of my ex colleagues cried when they had to leave cc. They had served loyally for umpteen years and had to leave in a hurry with only finger food served in the office as a farewell meal.
So cc you guys got be grateful to SVPcc cos he did not boot you out or else you will be having trouble financing your home and car mortgages.
FYI the ex boss including the unionist who cheered when the CCEs left has now received retribution. The said unionist subsequently lost the union election and had to retire with his tail behind his legs. Our ex-boss was booted out by the company.....hahaha the CCEs has the last laugh now.

SIA Scandal: How $35 million was stolen over 13 years ( case discovered 10 years to date)

Reports by
Wong Wei Kong

Teo Cheng Kiat was in charge of processing SIA cabin crew allowances. He used the names of crew members who did not fly on various flights to make false claims and channelled the payments to his own bank accounts. In all, he siphoned off almost $35 million over 13 years. Teo was caught and sentenced to 24 years in prison.

WHAT is now known as the SIA case of 2000 needs little introduction. It involves, after all, still the largest sum of money ever taken by an employee from a company. But the lessons from the case remains highly relevant today with the threat of fraud still posing a significant risk to companies.

The SIA case had all the hallmarks of a typical corporate fraud: a trusted, long-serving employee; superiors who failed to carry out proper checks; loop-holes in the system; and accidental discovery. In all, Teo Cheng Kiat, or Henry as he was also known, siphoned almost $35 million, a staggering amount. 'No matter how much you trust your employees, it is always important that internal control systems are implemented in the company to prevent and detect such fraudulent activities,' said James Teo, who led the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) probe into the case.

SIA Complaint Sent To CAD
In January 2000, the CAD received a complaint from Singapore Airlines (SIA) that Teo Cheng Kiat, then 47, had misappropriated funds from the company. Teo had joined SIA as a clerk in 1975. He was promoted to supervisor of the cabin crew division in 1988. As supervisor, he oversaw the processing of cabin crew allowances.

The discovery of Teo's fraud was later described as 'purely fortuitous' in court. Had he quit while he was ahead, his crime may never have been discovered.

But on Jan 18, 2000, one staff member in SIA's internal audit department did an ad-hoc review of the data on the daily allowance payment for crew. Sorting the data for Jan 15, 1999, the employee discovered that three Overseas Union Bank (OUB) bank accounts had received 10 payments each on the same day. That was unusual, as there should only be one payment of allowance to any crew member on a particular day. And the three OUB accounts belonged to Teo. That prompted the SIA complaint to CAD.

Initially, it was not known how much money Teo had misappropriated when SIA first lodged a report at CAD on Jan 19, 2000. In the report, SIA complained that one of its staff may have committed criminal breach of trust (CBT) of about $2 million between December 1999 and Jan 15, 2000.

On that same day, a team of CAD officers raided and apprehended Teo at his Bristol Road home. Incriminating records recovered then showed that he could have been misappropriating funds from SIA even before December 1999. At the time, SIA crew members had their meal and transport allowances credited to their OUB accounts from SIA's account with the bank. Teo was authorised to determine the name of the crew member who was to be paid, the amount payable and the receiving bank account number. Only he had the access code to make adjustments in the cabin crew allowance system (CCAS).

How He Avoided Suspicion
Teo abused his position of trust by creating fictitious adjustments for extra payments of allowances. He would add entries in the CCAS by inserting extra names of crew members on a particular flight by picking the extra names at random from the central crew database. He would then change the bank account number of the crew members to the number of a bank account opened in his name or controlled by him.

The bank accounts under Teo's control were joint accounts in his and his wife's name, one in the name of his wife and her young sister and one account in the name of his wife.

To avoid detection, Teo doctored the daily adjustment report by not reflecting the fictitious adjustments made. He also did not show the reports as supporting documents to his superiors whenever he approached them to seek authorisation for the payments. And since all the crew who actually flew on these flights received their allowances, no one made any complaints.

From time to time, Teo would transfer the money in his personal bank accounts and accounts under his control to various other bank accounts, including foreign bank accounts, to avoid accumulating too large a balance in any single account which would raise suspicions. Why didn't Teo's superiors demand supporting documents when he asked for approval to make payments? All told the CAD that they believed Teo was reliable and trustworthy as he had been on the job for many years. Their opinion of him was that he was hardworking and efficient. They also said they relied on 'safeguards in the system', referring to the internal audit carried out once every two or three years, the standing instruction to OUB that payment to any one account must not exceed $5,000 at any one time, and that sufficient checks and controls were in place at both SIA and OUB. Their confidence turned out to be misplaced.

CAD investigations revealed that Teo made the first fictitious allowance payment to the bank accounts under his control in 1987. Prior to the computerisation of the system, he made the adjustments manually by typing out a list of adjustments to be paid to the cabin crew.

With the switch to the computerised system in 1996, Teo became bolder and the amount he misappropriated increased exponentially from a few hundred thousand dollars to millions of dollars. For a period of 13 years, between Feb 9, 1987 and Jan 18, 2002, he siphoned off $34.96 million.

Living The High Life
Teo lived the high life. He had seven private properties for which he paid about $6.5 million; a Mercedes-Benz C200 and BMW 728; jewellery and branded watches worth $1.85 million; an array of designer goods; and five-star hotel accommodation in Kuala Lumpur at least once a month.

CAD officers conducted numerous raids during the first three weeks of investigations and managed to recover about $14 million from various bank accounts, cash of about $780,000, the two cars, jewellery worth about $250,000, and the seven properties with an estimated value of about $10 million.

About $15 million was restituted to SIA by CAD. SIA subsequently went to court to challenge Teo's possession of the remaining assets acquired with the stolen proceeds, and he voluntarily gave up the properties and transferred their legal ownership to SIA.

Teo was charged in court on 25 counts of CBT and one count of money laundering. On June 30, 2000, he was convicted on 10 counts of CBT in the High Court. He was sentenced to serve a total of 24 years imprisonment.

Motivated By Sheer Greed
Then Judicial Commissioner Tay Yong Kwang noted that Teo's offences were aggravated by several factors.

First, he was motivated not by need but by sheer greed. Second, his offences, which took place almost daily for more than a decade, were systematic and sophisticated. Third, he abused the high degree of trust placed in him. On July 1, 2003, Kwek was charged with 16 fresh charges, comprising six charges of forgery and 10 charges of criminal breach of trust. He pleaded guilty in September 2003 and was sentenced to 8 years' imprisonment.

'Any weakness in the payment system exploited by the accused could not constitute a mitigating factor in his favour. If it were otherwise, the Courts would have to entertain pleas from burglars who blame house-owners for keeping their gates open or for using inferior locks,' the judge said. 'It must offend all notions of justice if perpetrators of financial crime like the present accused are allowed to spend a short stint in prison and then emerge to live many more years as multi-millionaires living off money that was never theirs.'

Said lead investigating officer James Teo: 'The magnitude of Teo's crime is summed up by the sheer amount of money which he misappropriated from his employer. Taking advantage of his employer's trust in him, Teo amassed a great fortune with the stolen money and led a life of luxury and extravagance during his years of crime.'

Pilot dumped pregnant stewardess

Below is an email from a reader of my blog pertaining to the above story. There is no way I could verify whether the story is true or not. If the story is true can someone please advise or help the ex-stewardess?

BTW I had permission from the sender of the email to post the story here.

Dear Uncle Boh Tong,

You do have an interesting website and a good insight into SIA crew stories! I stumbled across your website by accident. It is fun to read through and know some of these scandals indeed do exist. I guess the crew members are still human after all!

I actually was hoping to seek your advice or share a story with you. I have a friend who up to recently was a cabin crew of SIA. She met this guy, who was the pilot on her destination route.

I supposed she kind of liked him and they were attached, which of course was a good thing! Some months back, they had an 'accident' and my friend was pregnant. He insisted for her to keep the baby and said he wanted to start a family with him. She was all happy and ready to commit into this new chapter of her life. Not long ago, this guy has decided that he is no longer interested in this relationship and wish to ditch her AND THE BABY altogether! How inhuman could he be? He did not picked up my friend's call and even had his mobile service disconnected (so my friend could not contact him).

Since then, she has tried waiting for him at the Changi airport - to let him know how he has destroyed her life. So she finally manage to meet him one fine day, and guess what - he rushed to his car drove off and knock this pregnant woman down on the way! I can't believe this happened. As a friend, I am very concerned about my friend's welfare. She had not eaten much, her mental state is in disarray, she has attempted suicide (I saw the cut on her wrist) and has mentioned many times when I met up with her that the best she could do now is to leave this world with the baby.

I am at lost at what my friend could do and I aware that there is probably not much you could do too! I am just trying avenues I can find to help my friend and so happen I stumbled upon your blog. I did spend almost an hour reading those interesting articles though! lol. Is there anyway my friend can lodge a complain or to instigate an investigation of this pilot for his improper conduct? I guess it will hard too, seeing that this are personal circumstances?

Do hope to hear from you. Thanks.

Regards,

RRR

BT: I have just got another email (below)from the same sender minutes after I have posted the above.

By the way Uncle Boh Tong, the reason why my friend now is thinking of committing suicide is not because she is still deeply madly in love with this man! She has long gotten over him and in fact hopes karma comes back to bite! She has been advised by most if not all to abort the baby for obvious reasons - but she does not have the heart to do so after being pregnant for so many months. She did tell me that if she were to abort the baby, wouldn't that just make her the same as the father i.e. abandoning the baby as he/she sees fit? That is why she keeps telling herself that the least she could do is to let the baby know that the mum is committed to the baby and is willing to leave this world together...

Pilot made stewardess pregnant....story coming up!

He is in trouble again.

Harry is a senior cc. He loves to gamble. He would speculate on the stock market as well as gamble in casino.

At one time Harry made it big, perhaps a couple of millions from stocks. He bought a nice big house in Bukit Timah worth a few million bucks. The cars he and his stewardess wife drove was no less than a few hundred thousand bucks each.
They enjoyed life and still continued to fly as cabin crew.
One day when the stock market crashed, Harry's lost everything. He told me the banks with whom he borrowed money auctioned his house, cars etc and even his bicycle. Then he downgraded to an old 4 roomed HDB flat.
He stopped speculating on stocks and also stopped gambling in casinos.
Lately,I heard Harry is in trouble again.Poor Harry! This time he borrowed money from his stewardesses during a stop in Europe. He bluffed them he needed money urgently for his folks in Europe who were sick. They used their credit cards and withdrew money for him. He promised he would write a cheque when he check out with them to fly home.
During check out time, Harry was absent. The stewardesses from whom he borrowed money were shocked to hear that Harry was not flying back with them. He was on medical leave.
In Singapore, the stewardesses waited for him and managed to meet Harry on one of his departure days. Harry told them he was broke and would pay them when he collected his pay. Again he failed to pay them. This time the gals brought their boy friends and met Harry. They almost beat him up but he begged them to give him time to pay them which he never did. The case was reported to the office but I dun know what action they took against Harry. Anyone knows about this case..of course his real name isn't Harry.

Propose to SIA stewardess at Changi?

Dear Boh Tong,

I want to surprise my GF,a stewardess when she arrives at Changi Airport
by proposing to her in public.
I know SIA has some strict rules regarding behaviour of crew in
public so, will we be able to kiss and hug if she says "yes" to my
proposal? Will she get into trouble?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Your loyal reader.

Do you know why she failed her interview?

I received from a reader pertaining to her recent SIA cabin crew interview:

Dear BT,

I am 21 and I stand at 1.70 metres.

I passed the first round and second round which consisted of a memory and team-building game and a 1-to-1 15 minutes interview.

When it came to the third round where we were supposed to put on our Kebayas and go through the skin check at the same time, I did not make it together with all three girls in my remaining group.

Firstly, we took around 7-10 minutes to get changed when there was a sign stating we could only take 5 minutes in the room. Secondly, the examiner had asked me to remove my watch. I had a tattoo on my right wrist which could be fully covered up with a simple medium-sized watch strap but declared it in the application form since registration. I had above average fair skin (not to boast), with no blemishes or opened pores compared to the other three girls. The girls told me the Kebaya fitted me well and I honestly believed my walk was fine and at least passable.

I would like to know if it was the wrist tattoo that eliminated me in this round or was it the Kebaya changing time? I might want to laser this tattoo off so this question I'm posting to you is probably a life-changing one to me. Please get back to me asap and thank you for allowing me to take up some of your time for reading my mail. Your response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again.

Warmest Regards,

This comment is damn Mean!

We were talking about the cc of SIA then came this meanest comment:

Anonymous said...

I dont see whats the big deal in all these. It's just a high paid waiter/waitress job anyway. Being a cc still needs to clean after people's shit.

Supposedly from a junior cabin crew

If this comment is really from a junior cabin crew then .....
Do you think this is the situation in cc division now? Your comments please.

King of Junior has left a new comment on your post "Who were they?":

All senior CC and oldies have to wake up from their slumber. The NEW CC Culture is here - Junior is King. As long as TPT is SVP of CC, he will protect all the junior crew as he need all the feedback against the senior crew. Never mind if the service standard has drop and is dropping. Just need all the feedback so can kick all the oldies and senior crew and save lots of money. Look at the channels existed to F**k all the senior crew - UFS, Whistleblower channel, CCN, Feedback to Wardleaders, etc..More channels will be open up using infromation technology so that the oldies who dont now ablut computers cannot use them. So all seniors and oldies, wakey wakey..

Rogue anti-spyware (Personal Security) BEWARE!

What this programs does:

Personal Security is a rogue anti-spyware program from the same family as Cyber Security. This program is promoted through the use of malware that will install it on your computer without your permission. In order to protect itself, this program will automatically attempt to terminate security programs that may help to remove it. When installed, Personal Security will be configured to start automatically when Windows starts. Once started, it will scan your computer and display a variety of infections, but will state that it will not remove them unless you first purchase the program. In reality, the infections it finds are either fake or legitimate programs that if deleted could cause problems with the proper operation of Windows. Therefore, please do not act upon any of the files it states are infections.

One of my friends kena this spyware and his PC was rendered useless. First thing DON'T open any article or pictures fwd to you.It may be from someone you know but he could have innocently foward the virus to you. Delete it asap cos if you dun it will infect ur PC and steal ur passwords, credi cards numbers etc.....
So when you see the pic above your PC is a gonna.

Good Samaritan crew

There was a accident and a pedestrian was badly injured when a car slammed into her. The victim laid unconscious and bleeding profusely.
At the time of the accident, steward Kong was crossing the road and ran to help the victim.
He applied first aid and called the ambulance.
Subsequently the victim was warded in the hospital and Kong visited her. She recovered and thanked Kong for saving her life.

D was a senior steward on the flight. He noticed a lady pax crying outside the aircraft toilet. He went to enquire and found that the lady had dropped her diamond ring into the toilet bowl and was flushed away.
D put his hand into the bowl and searched for the ring. After a few minutes, the ring was found and returned to the lady.

Pax James' baggage was missing when the flight arrived at FRA. The airline paid him a certain sum of money to buy essential items until they could fully ascertain whether James' baggage was totally lost and compensate him more.
James checked into the same hotel as the crew. He expressed his desire to join the crew for lunch that afternoon but did not have spare clothing. Ali the steward who served James on the flight lent James his shirt. James enjoyed himself by getting to know the crew better.

Pax Ellias was upset because his kosher meal was not uploaded on the flight. The crew could not do anything much except tried their best to serve him a Muslim meal which was quite acceptable. However, Ellias was still angry with the airline.
Lye was a the senior steward in charge of the zone where Ellias was seated.
Lye felt sorry for Ellias and during one of his off days in S'pore,Lye volunteered to bring Ellias out for a tour of Singapore. Of course,Ellias was happy with the voluntary service provided by Lye.

A lady pax broke her shoes heel on the flight. She did not have spare shoes and so decided to walk bare footed at the arrival hall at Changi.
Flight stewardess Sue offered the lady her pair of shoes which the pax gratefully accepted.

There were many more of such kind acts by the cabin crew except they were not reported nor recorded.Thank you cc for a job well done!

A molester on board!

A molester is someone who subjects others to unwanted or improper sexual activities, according to Thesaurus online dictionary.
Mick was a leading steward working in the business class. Mick was always on the look out for single female passenger on his flight. His tactic was to be extremely nice to this type of passengers by doing PR,giving more attention, giving airline souvenir, extra drinks and even to the extent of upgrading them to the business class where he was in charge.
Mick would often boast about his adventures with the female passengers he picked up,how and what he did to them in bed. Frankly,Mick was not all that good looking but because of his so called skills he was quite successful in convincing the women to go with him.
On one of his flights to Japan,Mick upgraded Keiko a sweet looking Japanese passenger who was travelling alone in the economy.
Keiko was a shy passenger whose English was limited. Anyhow,Mick was nice and pampered her on the flight. She was willing to be upgraded to the business class which was rather empty.
During the night after the lights were turned off Mick went over and sat next to Keiko.
He chatted in broken Japanese with Keiko. He offered her numerous rounds of champagne with the intention of making her drunk. Keiko loved the champagne from the business class. She kept on drinking and in no time was pissed. Now Mick started his nonsense.
He kissed Keiko on the lips and Keiko responded a little. As though not enough to satisfy himself,Mick put his hand into Keiko's blouse and rubbed her big rounded breast. At this point Keiko pushed Mick away but he was persistent and went further by stripping Keiko off her blouse. This went on for a few minutes until Keiko started to cry out loudly.
When the flight landed,Keiko lodged a complaint against Mick to the ground staff. The complaint was relayed to cabin crew division in Singapore.
Mick was charged for molesting Keiko and was dismissed from the company.
The last we heard was Mick was working as a porter for a hotel.

The power of a senior Japanese C&$@,my first New Year (2010) Story

Ja was an ordinary chief steward who loved to have fun whenever he worked with stewardesses. He didn't mean to be a chee koh pek or flirtatious with them. He was cheeky no doubt but meant no harm towards them.
There was story about Ja helping a fellow crew who had lost the company's money at a casino in London. The leading steward lost about S$1,000 playing Roulette. When Ja met him at the casino,he told Ja about his loss (the money belonged to the company thru'bar sales).
Ja being a kind chief helped recouped the loss by "defeating" the casino in the game of Roulette. The 1k which Ja won was returned to the leading steward.
The above story was told here to show that Ja was a kind and helpful guy.
The actual story which I am about to tell is about how Ja was "reported" by a Japanese crew and eventually got a sack from SIA.
On one of his flights,Ja was working with a Japanese stewardess Yuki. The pax load was light and they were working in the business class. Out of boredom and mischief,Ja playfully stuck a banana into Yuki's backside. Yuki let out a scream and seemed to enjoy it. They both had a good laugh and went back to serving their paxs.
At the end of the flight, Ja apologised to Yuki about the banana incidence. The apology was made not because Ja thought he was doing the wrong thing but just to be polite.
A few days later Yuki met her senior Japanese crew. Over a meal,Yuki told about the banana incidence. It was never meant to be a complaint against Ja but the senior crew took it seriously. She cajoled Yuki into writing a complaint against Ja over the incidence. Yuki didn't want to complain but culturally it was difficult to go against the wishes of her senior. Reluctantly,Yuki wrote a complaint against Ja.
A disciplinary inquiry was held a few weeks later by SIA cabin crew and HR division. It ended with Ja being dismissed from the company.

Footnote: Ja had an elder brother who was also a senior crew with SIA at that time. This brother of his had divorced his Japanese stewardess wife who was a friend of the senior Japanese stewardess who had instigated Yuki to complain against Ja. I am not sure whether the divorce had anything to do with Ja's case.
BTW that senior Japanese stewardess had strong connection with cc managment people.
