From a PPS passenger...what say you all?

"The other side of the coin is cabin crews do not appreciated being complimented. I had sent in flattering feedback of the crews to the airline and separatedly copied the crews. Guess, nary a word of acknowledgement or thanks. So no wonder PPS or Solitaires stop complimenting the cabin crews. They are ungrateful lot!!!"

Thought this comment was good.

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "A SPPS passenger clarifies":

When I was still flying with SIA, I had served quite a few stars and
celebrities on my flights. The bigger their billing, the nicer they are. There was Erik Estrada("Punch", one half of California highway patrol pair on "CHiPs" which was very popular on TV those days), who was on my flight about 20 years ag. He was super nice. After he woke up from his sleep, he came to the galley to get a cup of coffee. He stayed and chit-chatted with us like old friends. There was Tom Jones who was very sincere, polite and appreciative. There was Jet Li who, though did not speak much because we did not converse with him in Mandarin, was humble and did not hesitate to get up from his seat to take a picture with us.
Then, there was Chow Yuen Fatt who ate a little, then rested. After landing, he obliged us with a picture-taking session, giving us his famous Kodak smile. Some of these celebrities who always smile in front of the camera, suddenly have frozen jaws when they came on board. One of our home-grown singers who is very popular in Taiwan and China never even looked up when she addressed us. No please, no thank you. One of our local TV actresses kicked up such a big fuss when a couple of droplets of aircon condensation fell on her, when she was travelling in EY. But, my best VIP passenger of all was Mrs Lee Kuan Yew, who showed concern for our welfare - asking us if we had rested or eaten. She always wiped the basin dry after she used the toilet.

BT:  To the cabin crew, one of ways to assess how well mannered a passenger is,is how he/she keeps his/her toilet clean after use i.e. wiping the wash basin, flush the toilet, put the toiletries back in their right places etc....Yes I can testify to what anonymous said about the late Mrs. Lee.

A SPPS passenger clarifies

I’ve been following your website or blog for quite a while now. I’ve read numerous horrible stories on typical Singapore or PPS passengers. However, I thought it might be a good idea to contribute my share of the stories and hopefully to change the mindset or perception of the readers that not all Singapore passenger are “Typical” or nasty “PPS”

I’ve been travelling with Singapore Airlines for about 8 years now. As part of my job, practically I will be on a SQ flight on a weekly basis. Fortunately, my company treats people like me with great care and I will be on Business Class almost 80% of my flight. It took me only 3 years to get my Solitaire PPS. Being a SPPS, I was treated like a VIP and also my fair share of being discriminated by crew as a “Typical” Singaporean and a “Nasty” SPPS.

SPPS is not something I’m proud of.
Throughout my years a PPS & SPPS, I’ve never once behaved like a spoilt brat and never gave any Cabin Crew a hard time. This has got to do with my mindset. Personally, I’m not proud of being a VIP of SQ. Think about it, it took me a lot of travel to earn my status as SPPS. My fellow colleagues will praise me of being a SPPS and how they wish they can enjoy the benefits of VIP status. Contrary to my thinking, it is not something I’m proud of as it reminds me that I’ve been travelling too much at the expense of my time away from my family.

Reality
In reality, the only reason I’m fortunate to be a SPPS is my company. There is no way I can be a SPPS travelling First or Business class on my own expense. I’m sure 90% of SQ PPS or SPPS are like me. We owe it to our company. Company is nice enough to not have me squeeze in Cattle Class (Economy class) on a grueling 12 hours flight to London by having me sitting at the forward of the aircraft enjoying the nice seats and amenities. Every long flight, I will walk to Economy class to remind myself how “Lucky” I’m and be thankful. As such, I’ve never attached the status to mine. When I board a flight, I always believe, the status belongs to my company and only my own name belongs to me.

Another reality is, when Singapore Airline awards any PPS & SPPS status to any passengers, they are trying to convey the message “Thank you for you business and hope to have more future revenue from you” rather than saying “You are now the King of SQ”! At the peak of PPS membership in 2008, SQ had about 40,000 PPS globally! So, being PPS is no big deal!

Encounters with Ugly Passengers
Being frequent travelers, I can practically smell ugly Singaporean passengers from miles away! The interesting thing is, majority of the ugly passengers are those who don’t travel regularly and have not seen the world. The most well behaves passengers are those who travel on a regular basis and to them taking planes are like taking MRT or buses.

Being on flights so frequent it gets really monotonous and boring. However, thanks to ugly passengers or typically Singaporean, it made some of the flights very interesting.

I remembered there was one flight, there was a passenger sitting just across the aisle in Economy, He was making a big fuss and insisted on seeing the IFS (Inflight Supervisor).  As part of SQ protocol, any issues will have to be addressed by Leading, followed by the Chief then finally IFS. After all the big fuss, he was complaining about his Gin & Tonic was not up to standard and he was a Gold Card member! That’s a good laugh.  One thing I don’t understand is, why must Singaporean used their status to threaten or get what they want? I have instances where passengers request for newspaper “Get me a Straits Time. I’m a Silver/Gold Member”.

Ugly Business Class or PPS passengers
You would expect passengers sitting in Business Class would behave more professionally and more profound. I’ve seen numerous rude Singapore PPS demanding things and throwing tantrum if they don’t get what they want. I’ve come across Business class passengers on A380 when they got on the plane, even before they settle down on their seats demanding “where’s my drink?!!”  Where is your “please?!” I understand why major of the crew would discriminate typical Singapore or PPS passengers and they would rather serve foreigners who are definitely more profound. For example, Singapore loves to use this sentence which I find is uniquely Singaporean and rude when they request for something “Give me………!” Why can’t we use sentence like “Excuse me Miss, I would like a ………. Please”!

Complain King
Personally, I feel some SPPS passengers use their authority and status to intimate others. Once I was on A380 flight back from Sydney on May 1. There was a SPPS sitting just front of me and he was making sense for at least 1 hour with all the ranking crew trying to calm him down. Then I realized what his problem was. He was complaining why SQ has not showing the last movies on KrisWorld since it was the first day of the month. To spend an hour on issues that I felt there’s nothing the crew can do. Logic will tell you, on the last day of the previous month, the flight was in Sydney and there’s no way the Technician can upload the movies.

I want my food!
Another typical problem Singapore Business Class passenger will complain is on their choice of meals. All hell will break loose if they don’t get their meal choice. Crew will always has SPPS, PPS, and then other business class passengers on their meal choices. You can imagine if any particular flight if there are overwhelming number of SPPS and as a result, PPS will not get their choices. I remembered on particular flight, I was asked if I wanted my dinner choice, which I declined. However, I changed my mind after almost all the other passengers have made their choices, I requested for steak. The crew said “Very sorry Mr Boo. We have ran out of steak. Would you like other choices?”. My respond to the crew surprised the crew and it was simply logic. I said to her “Go to EY, get me one of the steak from there if there are still available.” In the end, I got a steak which look exactly as the one served in Business class.

Hungry Ghosts
Why typical Singaporean loves to eat all the time in Business Class. This was what I encountered during flight from the new route Haneda to Singapore. This was a red eye flight. The flight departs at 1230am to 7am with two meal services. You would have thought on a red eye flight, most of the passengers would sleep the whole flight. I was wrong! Most of the Singaporeans were eating their heart out! I wonder, do they usually two meals between 12-7am when are at home?! I have also seen passengers falling sleep while eating on red eye flight! Ridiculous Hungry Ghosts!

Another instance, I remembered a SPPS requested for his steak to be cooked Medium Well and of caused he couldn’t get what he wished for and started threatening and complaining about the steak. My points, the food that you are served is as good as it gets. Get real, this isn’t Fine Dinning!
Be nice and you will be treated nice
This is my strong believe in life. Through my years of flying as a passenger, I can see that being a cabin crew is not easy. Especially when dealing with rude and demanding passengers. They have to put of the image as Singapore Girl and smile at all times. Whenever I fly, I made a conscious effort by treating them how I want others to treat me especially with respect. Simple smile and saying “Thank you” by looking in their eyes to show my sincerity means a lot to them. Some extra ordinary flights, I would even go to the gallery to shake their hands. One perks or curse that SPPS has is, the level of seriousness the Singapore Airlines takes our feedback. Armed with this privilege, I try to help as many crews as possible; only when they truly deserved it, and write to the company to praise on their performance. I remembered that once an IFS came to me and said how I’ve just helped one crew clear her probation by writing a positive comment.  Of caused I’ve also written one bad comment about 2 crews on a flight whom the flight was “unbelievably” bad!

As a SPPS, a little gesture meant a lot to the crew. For example, there was one flight to Hong Kong in Cattle Class, there was a woman sitting across my aisle was making a huge fuss on why the crew moved a bag above the cabin to create more space for others. The crew did not moved bag to another compartment but simply arranged it to create more space. The woman passenger was making hell for the crew and the leading.  Even the Chief got involved. You could see the faces of the crew and they were distressed. What I did was, I called for the Chief and told him, his crew did the right thing and the woman was being unreasonable. I rendered my help by telling giving them my email just in case the woman complains and I was ready to vouch for them. Immediately, I could sense a great sight of relieve from the crew.

Some passengers are just simply rude in the way they acted. You will be surprised how childish passengers can behave. A simple greeting from crew such as “Good morning, welcome onboard” can have a negative repercussion. I’ve passenger responded by saying “What’s so good about the morning?!” These are simply unacceptable! Most of the behaviors are being shown by Singapore passengers. That’s why I don’t blame crew for wanting to serve foreigners or westerners more than Singaporeans.

What would you do if the seat you are sitting has a faulty console or KrisWorld? A typical response from would be “I want an upgrade!” or simply create hell for the crew. Well, think about it, crew has no authority to give upgrades onboard flight anymore. They can only offer you a change of seat of there is one available. Faulty seats consoles are a common occurrence now especially when majority of SQ 777-200 fleet are about 10 years old. I’ve never asked for an upgrade or demand compensation in any ways. All I asked was for my seat to be checked by the crew or reset the configuration. If all means fail, I will just tell the crew “It’s ok. Don’t worry about it. I will just play with my iphone or read my book.” After this, trust me, I will be treated with great care by the crew. It all started by treating others nice. I will always get a comment “You are one of the nicest PPS we have ever met. Mr Boo.” I will always respond by “PPS belongs to my company. Not me. Only Mr Boo belongs to me. I’m just a passenger.”

Though being nice does not equate to nice treatment from the crew. I have my fair share of discrimination just because I was a PPS or SPPS.  I know of a famous IFS who flies only Beijing because his partner lives there (by now some of you may know); whom I’ve met numerous times on flight (just my luck); who hates and totally discriminate PPS or SPPS!

As years passed, my seniority as SPPS grows; which means higher chance of UG (Up Grade). Whenever there’s an upgrade, I know there will be an abbreviation UG next to my name. An UG will always be an UG. Don’t take for granted that you have purchased the seat and make your demands like you have paid for them.

I hope by writing this, it will give you an insight of a SPPS. I want readers of this blog to know, that there still a few of us out there who are nice to crew and truly appreciate their work and effort. Please do not have the stereotype or have this stigma that all PPS/SPPS are nasty.

This airline is like a suckling pig to me....so shiok!

To me and many of my other colleagues this is the best airline in the world. It supported us for many years including our family members too. It paid our children's education, holidays, houses and all the bills. Thank you very much bestest airline!

My only regret was it kept me far too long in the comfort zone. Then came the SARS crisis in 2003 and it decided to give us a fairly generous golden handshake. Many of us cabin crew executives took the opportunity and left. But after a while many regretted and only a few were happy. Fortunately,I belong to the latter.

The airline taught me to be patient and the art of handling customers. It also taught me to be efficient and take pride in whatever I do. Today, I owed my small business to my ex employer ( it's a dog's life really hahaha), the world bestest airline not only to it's customers but to it's ex employees like me too...hahaha.

This store sucks too!

I went for a walk in interview with the above convenient store. The job they advertised were "store supervisor", "assistant night supervisor" etc.
At the interview, a young punk told me I was not suitable for the store supervisor position as I lacked experience. The salary offered was $1,800. He offered me the assistant night supervisor post instead. The salary was $1,200. Since I was there I said "fine I like it ". The next moment after looking at my resume,he looked at me and said "uncle I didn't know you are already 60 years old". "I will have to talk to my boss and if I don't call you by Wednesday then we are not giving you the job due to your age".
They did not call me even till today and I am now 65 years old.

This airline sucks!

A few years after we left SIA, a foreign airline advertised in the press inviting candidates, preferably ex cabin crew to join them.
They had indicated they wanted experienced SIA crew and me and a few of my colleagues applied for the position of flight attendants.
Many former SIA crew also applied for the same position.
On the day of the interview,we were surprised to find the interviewers were our former colleagues in MSA.
During the interview we talk about the good old days of flying with MSA. The interview turned out to be a chit chat session. We were promised of the job which we applied. It was a satisfying interview so we thought.
We were then asked to assist in conducting some of the interviews a few days later.
One of my ex colleagues was even asked to co-ordinate the medical check-ups of the successful candidates for the junior posts.
We helped in every way we could being knowledgeable in cabin crew airline administration.
After the interviews were concluded in Singapore the whole team of the interviewers flew home.

After months of waiting for the invitation to start training and the numerous email we sent, they was no news from their end.

In short, we found we were made used of and that the airline did not want us in the first place. The interviewers felt  we, as ex SIA people ,could be a threat to their survival.

BT: The interviewers were our junior stewards during the time with MSA ( we were chief stewards).

Few months later:

One retired SIA inflight supervisor was recruited by the said airline. He was so frustrated over the way he was treated that he quit just after 2 months of flying for that airline.

A year or two later:

The whole lot of Singapore based cabin crew were retrenched.

Seminar/Talks for cabin crew wannabes in preparation for Feb interview in S'pore

SIA has advertised for cabin crew recruitment in Singapore on the 19 of Feb 2011 i.e. next month in its website . No doubt, many wannabes would love to attend my talks/seminar because they know that it would be useful for them.
But some are so anxious or afraid I would not be conducting the talks and kept emailing asking when would I be conducting it. To them this is my reply: 30 January (Sunday) 2011 at ClearMinds,Serangoon Garden
Below are examples of the emails I've received.

Woman Sues Airline—for Not Waking Her Up

(NEWSER) – Ginger McGuire's lawsuit is weird—she's suing United Airlines for failing to wake her up and leaving her inside a plane after landing—but her follow-up interview with Fox News is possibly even weirder. Interviewer Jane Skinner seems to think McGuire should "buy an alarm clock and STFU," writes Tommy Christopher for Mediaite. Watch the awkward pauses and Skinner's cringe-inducing, accusatory questions above.
Even if you're sympathetic to McGuire's plight, she "doesn’t acquit herself well in this interview, which plays like a sketch based on the premise that she still hasn’t woken up," Christopher continues. Still, she has a point: "The security concerns this incident points up are serious. What if, instead of a sleeping passenger, that crew had left a terrorist saboteur aboard that plane?"

Passenger Interrupts FA’s Party

DECEMBER 19, 2010
I was flying Qantas on a flight from SYD to LAX. I was, of course, in cattle class. Midway through the flight I went up to the galley to request a coffee. There were 3-4 FA’s in there having an uproarious chat about something or other. I asked if I could get a coffee and one of the trolly-dollies looked at me, sighed, and said “We’re kinda busy right now, mate, we’ll get to you when we have a chance. Come back in ten or fifteen minutes, okay?”

This afternoon blood pressure reading

See what can Jackfruit do your blood pressure? Sure those young people who see this would mean nothing to them. An old fella like me or others of my age may be interested in this reading. If one has a high reading, one may have a stroke or heart attack. That's why it's important we keep our BP withing the healthy range. Looks like mine reading is fine for my age. I don't exercise but I believe Jackfruit keeps my pressure within the normal range.

Oh no another interview!

Click on above picture for bigger version if your eyesight is poor.

The above email was sent to me by the editor of a magazine in India....wah lau besides the Malaysian newspaper "The Star" interviewing me then I had the Razor TV interview plus 938 Live FM....what's next boy?  Perhaps Playboy magazine interview soon hor?

Soon my name will be Chin Bee Zee (busy)
With all the interviews I'll be Pepsi (Pepsi is no.1 mah)

No time to talk cock and drink kopi
No time to sing song and be angry

I also drive what is called a taxi
Not for human but for pets only

I also own a nice pet farm
Lots of money I've pump

If I don't make a profit
Then the farm I shall forfeit

But the money keeps pouring in
After I left SIA , I always win

The pet farm is also a pet hotel
From here more things I can propel

To greater heights will I soar
And keep scoring more and more.

Ex SQ stewardess Jamie Chua.

Recently  Jamie has been in the news because of her high profile divorce from her hubby. People have asked me whether I know her when she was flying as a stewardess with SIA. My answer is I can't remember Jamie (no offence hor Jamie) but I do remember flying with an SQ Indonesian stewardess (can't remember her name though) many years ago who looked like Jamie.
That stewardess could be or might not be Jamie. I remember that stewardess as a slim tall girl who was from Indonesia, pretty and wore a 3 carat diamond ring while working on the plane. She  has a sweet personality, friendly and unassuming. I remember speaking with her on the flight and it was about the place she came from and how her dad didn't want her to be a cabin crew. Ya she was from a very rich family.

From airline stories to Jack fruit

Amazingly, my afternoon blood pressure which is usually 146/94 (thereabout)dropped to 120+/70+ after  eating some Jack fruits. I have experimented eating them in the evening and my BP would dropped to 110+/70+. I have been eating this fruit for about 2 months averaging about 10 pieces each time. At the same time my pulse rate would be down to 60+ (above meter showing 65).

My age is 65 and even with a BP of 140/90 it is considered ok. Of course with the reading of 120+/70+ it is even better (considered the normal BP for a young man).

Btw I am not a fruit seller but have a durian plantation in Malaysia..hehehe.

SIA crew hospitalised in San Francisco

The New Paper | Tue, Jan 11 2011
Officials suspect they were poisoned by carbon monoxide, which was present in the hotel they were staying at.

MEMBERS from Singapore Airlines (SIA) cabin crew staying in a San Francisco hotel fell ill last week after what officials suspect to be carbon monoxide poisoning.

The San Francisco Marriott Marquis hotel issued a statement on Friday saying that four guests had "complained of flu-like symptoms". They were taken to hospital for treatment after the fire department assessed the situation.

Marriott spokesman Sam Singer said the affected guests were taken to hospital and diagnosed with dehydration, reported San Francisco news website Examiner.com.

Meanwhile, an SIA spokesman told The New Paper yesterday that three cabin crew members had been hospitalised.

She said: "Three Singapore Airlines cabin crew members staying at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis hotel were treated in hospital after falling ill.

"The San Francisco Marriott Marquis hotel has confirmed that carbon monoxide was present in the guests' rooms and from an external source."

Lieutenant Mindy Talmadge from the San Francisco fire department told online newspaper SF Appeal that fire crew discovered a "strange looking" pipe in an Indian restaurant next to the Marriott.

When the water heater was turned on in the restaurant, carbon monoxide readings in the hotel shot up to 250 parts per million. Normal carbon monoxide levels are about 25parts per million, Lt Talmadge said.

The SIA spokesman said that they have been in close contact with the affected crew members throughout.

"All three have been examined by doctors and determined to be medically fit to fly. "They will return to Singapore very soon."

This article was first published in The New Paper.

My ex-boss asked me for money? Got to be joking.

Point your mouse and click on email for bigger image.

The email was purportedly from my ex svp. His email address was hacked and the hacker pretended to be him and asked me for help.
You can tell whether it's fake or not because of the way you are being addressed in the email. This ex boss of mine would address me by my name.  It's not the case here. It started off as "Hope all is well with you?" and so I could tell the email was not from him. And why the question mark at the end of the sentence? My ex svp's standard of English is better than that.
The other thing is when it comes to dishing out money you better think twice.
I have alerted (via sms) this ex boss today.

Remedy: Change the email password or don't use that address anymore. The first option is better.

Come fly with me...enjoy.

Captain Ho Sim

Judging from the way I am blogging, one may think I am anti technical crew (pilots). Please don't get me wrong cos I am blogging the truth. In fact the truth is there are more good pilots than bad ones.
Take for example there was this capt whom I shall nicked named as Ho Sim. Ho in Hokkien means good and Sim means heart. So Capt Ho Sim means Capt Good Heart.
Besides being good at flying ( he was the youngest capt in world to fly the B747 in the 1970s) he was also good to his crew and that included cabin crew. He had the welfare of the crew at heart. Often he would want the  crew to have their meals first before he had his.
Let me quote you a case where Capt Ho was the commander. It was during transit in Zurich that the airplane he was flying had some technical problems. The crew had to make an unscheduled stop for a night in Zurich.
It was a cold winter night and with an almost full load of passengers, hotel accommodation became a problem for the station manager. It was the duty of station manager and his Zurich staff to find accommodation for the passengers and crew. The notice was short but the staff managed to find hotel accommodation for all the passengers and technical crew. Only the 18 cabin crew were left without hotel accommodation. According to the station manager, there was insufficient rooms for the 18 cc. He explained to Capt Ho about the situation but he refused to accept it. Capt Ho told the manager that if the cabin crew had to spend the night in the airplane, he would not want to use that same 18 crew for the flight early next morning. He deemed the cabin crew as unfit for the flight out of Zurich as they would not have proper rest. Straight away, the manager got his staff to hunt for 18 rooms for the cc. Within 30 minutes, suddenly there were 18 hotel rooms available for the cc in Zurich that night.
There was another flight where I worked with Capt Ho. We flew into Sydney and on arriving at the hotel, the manager explained that the allocation of rooms to the crew would be slow. In such a situation, the rooms would be released by the hotel one by one and it's usually the technical crew be given first (reason? there are bigshot mah). The cc would be allocated the rooms after the technical crew and the most junior cc would be the last to check into her/his room. There were times when it could take up to  2 hours or more for the junior crew to be given their keys to the rooms.
With Capt Ho on duty the situation was reversed. The most junior cc would check in first and he as the commander would be the last to check in. What a gracious and thoughtful Capt Ho was. We really appreciate his caring attitude towards us the cc and we loved to fly with such a commander.
So you see not all capts were bad.

Captain Lobster.

Once upon a time there lived a captain who earned $25,000 a month and yet fought with the cabin crew over aircraft food and drinks. What a shame it was for that dumb ass.
He once chewed up a supervisor for mistakenly not telling him of a leftover lobster. Capt Lobster wanted that piece of lobster badly but the supervisor overlooked it and reported to him there was none left. Lobster personally went to the galley and opened up the ovens and compartments to check and make sure that the supervisor was not hiding any lobsters from him.
Capt Lobster had been giving the crew lots of problem because he had a chip on his shoulder (besides his 4 gold bars on his shoulder). He wanted respect but respect can't be forced upon the crew. Nobody liked him and many had "customised" the food they served him.
There was a flight I did with Capt Lobster. He screwed the supervisor because he did not tell him I was on the flight. Poor supervisor. I was furious and went to the cockpit to speak with Lobster. I told him as a capt he should know that I was on the flight. He claimed he didn't know. I told him he must have signed the load sheet (aircraft document besides other things also show the number of crew on the flight) blindly. Also didn't he sight the general declaration where they had the names of all the crew on duty?
It was just an excuse to screw the supervisor because he didn't like him.
While in cockpit, Lobster told me " at least as a senior crew you should come to the cockpit and say hello to us"......"Sure capt I usually practised this habit of visiting the cockpit but you had 2 blond chicks frolicking in the cockpit with you and I don't feel comfortable interrupting your party." I retorted. He was of course mad with me but wouldn't dare do anything to me. He knew he was in the wrong for having that 2 chicks drinking champagne in the cockpit.
Ironically, capt lobster was an arts student in school and yet he could become a pilot. Without science subjects the airline would not even consider your application to be air controllers let alone be pilots). Capt Lobster had god fathers in the airline and they helped him.
Lobster had retired from flying and I do not know what he is doing right now. There was a rumour he died of a heart attack a few years ago (from gobbling too many lobsters?) but I can't confirm it at this juncture.

My new lease of life hopefully brings good..........

My new lease of life hopefully will bring good fortune to my friends and myself. Why do I say this? It's because it may make my buddies rich or at least line their pockets with more $$$.
As many of you know that punting on the 4 Digits lottery is a favourite pastime with Singaporeans and Malaysians.
The 4 D is managed by the S'pore Pools and it's available to the public on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. With a bet of  $1 on "Big" one can win  S$2,000 if the 4 D or 4 numbers is picked for the first prize. It will be $3,000 of the "Small" category. For more click here.

A friend of mine once hit the 2nd prize and he collected $125,000. I won twice in the first prize category, netting $20,000. I wager only a few dollars and that's why the sum I won was small as compared to my buddy.

The point I want to make is this. Last night, I dreamt of a car with a beautiful plate number of  7755 driving passed me.  It was a funny dream which I am not going to dwell on. The important thing here are the numbers 7755. You may place a small bet on 7755 or the other combinations of this number eg 7575,5577,5757 etc.

Being a Saturday today, the queue to buy the 4 D can be long. However, there are many lottery outlets and so the wait would not be more than 15 minutes. Also the result would be out by 7pm tonight. The same goes for the Sunday and Wednesday's draw.

Good luck and I hope to be of help.

My PC was hacked!

There was someone who didn't like me and wished that I was dead. He (assuming it's a him) hacked my PC as well as hijacked my phone line and post articles purportedly from my family members. I have since removed them from this blog.
Well in a way it's a blessing in disguise as I now know who are my friends and enemies. Judging from the comments in my blog and the phone calls as well as sms I am glad to say I have many friends and few enemies. Another point is we should treasure our friends  while they are still alive by keeping in touch with one another often. It's no use being in a state of shock and sadness when our friends passed away and filled with regrets for not contacting each other. It's the now that matters and not the future.
I am indeed very sorry to have caused so much pain to my friends by the hoax this morning. Please forgive me. On the other hand, I was really happy to received the numerous phone calls from my friends after they realised that the whole thing was a hoax.
Thank you all for your concern.

This check stewardess was a bitch!

May (not her real name) was a fat check stewardess in her 40's when I was an Inflight Supervisor (IFS). This was in the mid 1970's when we first acquired the B747. May was pally  pally with the union leader and the svp of cabin crew at that time. She was promoted 4 ranks upward in one go. Normally one would be promoted from the lowest rank of a stewardess to leading stewardess and then to chief stewardess and finally to IFS before becoming a check stewardess or check steward.
May was a big bully and a bitch as far as the crew were concerned except for a few of her cronies or kakis as we called them. She would lined the crew up and checked their make-ups,hairdos,fingernails,uniforms,shoes etc etc. before each flight as though they were like children. She would scold and shout at the crew who did greet her in the way she desired. Those were the days when the crew would feel like reporting sick the moment they heard May their "beloved"check stewardess was flying with them.
May's weaknesses were stealing booze and cigarettes from the aircraft. There were at least 2 complaints lodged by the crew regarding the theft but the so called svp did not take any action against her. Later, I found out from a captain that the svp and May were having a dirty love affair.
On one of my flights, May asked me to endorse her report of at least 5 of my crew. They were all bad reports and as far as I was concerned May's report was baseless and biased. I refused to endorse and she included my name in that list.
I was summoned to the svp's office and asked to explain my action. I countered report May on the ground that she was biased and unfair to my crew. My svp closed the case by saying that as senior crew we should not fight with one another.
A few weeks later, a gutsy leading stewardess by the name of Ann reported May for stealing liquor from the aircraft bar. She had a steward as her witness. There was an inquiry and May was reprimanded.
This could only happended because May's svp lover had been transferred out of cabin crew. The new svp could not tolerate May's behaviour.
May got her lawyer to write to the new svp, asking him to squash the case otherwise she would sue him for defamation. You know what? The svp didn't care two hoots and instead sacked May.
Last I heard May was an alcoholic and later lost her mind.
