Questions with answers for the SIA cabin crew interview.

The following were some of the questions asked at previous SIA cabin crew interviews. A few of the wannabes emailed me and asked me to help them with the answers. One stated she was booted out of the interview as she felt she had given an unsatisfactory answer.

Q :  A passenger complains that your fellow colleague does not smile when serving him. He also comments that the standard of SIA has dropped. What would you do in this situation?
Her  Answer : I have no idea how to answer this. this question caused me to be booted out from the round.

Q : A passenger demanded that you upgrade him to a higher class , what would you do ?
Her  Answer : I don't know how to answer this.

Q : One of the passenger demanded a window seat but the flight is full. What would you do?
Her Answer :I would ask for the other passengers seated at the window seat if they would want to change seats with the passenger who demanded the window seat?
If there is no one who wants to change how?

Q : A passenger tells you he wants to sleep and not want his meal , what must you do?
Her  Answer : Don't serve him the food and let him sleep?

I have all the prepared answers to the above questions. Get a copy of it now by paying through PayPal (top right corner of this blog is the $20 PayPal button).

BT, is it true one will have a higher chance of passing the interview if go earlier in the morning?

Here is my observation. I arrived at the hotel at around 10:30am. Almost everyone knows somebody else when waiting for the first round. Why? All are old birds already, repeated going to the interview in the range of 6-10 times, getting booted out at stage 3-5 in past interviews. All damn experienced already, they not so kancheong about going so early in the morning already. These "old birds" are more experienced and are more likely to pass round 1, and hence, that means lower chances for noobies who are going through it the first time. But if you go early in the morning, I THINK everyone else are first timers (only first timers will be so kancheong mah) and so the competition is not so "tough". But then again, if you have the quality in the first place, it doesn't matter you go at 8:30am or 2pm I guess?
