Those of you who have N/S at Japanese stations would have noticed that whenever the crew bus alights at the entrance of the crew hotel, there is always some hotel staff present to greet our crew. A common sight is the presence of the female staff dressed in a yellow blouse and tight skirt. She dons a yellow and white headdress with a strap that loops around her chin. She assumes the role of carrying the crew bags up to their respective rooms, opens the windows and bows graciously before leaving.

She is actually a graduate that has been groomed for a Mgt post in the hotel. I am writing this to share with all, especially our young graduates that the Japanese culture is one of the very few precious role models that is treasured and worthy of emulation. There are Japanese CEOs who even wash toilets, fix their own punctured tyre and will even pick up trash and paper from the floor.

Can we honestly say that our Mgt staff are like them? Most our managers are only managers in name but actually implementers....carryig out orders like parrots and units of labour. They lack the flair for service, initiative and are not able to think out of the box.

Hello Uncle Bohtong,

It's not just the hospitality industry that's infested with people loaded with misplaced sense of entitlement. A leader willing to get his hands dirty with the team is the one that commands the most respect.

SQ mgmt is fond of complaining about the service because they want to score points. They do not really care about the coy. Pls don't compare them with the Japanese mgmt staff.
They manager who gave the "feedback" about the service on his flight is one of the worst in cc division. He is damn unpopular with his staff. He whack them at the slightest thing. Bohtong should not have deleted the post.

Ha! ha!.. there are many in queue that are being moulded into future As**les.
Most are close to management... including union ones. There will never be an end to them.

New As**les are created every minute!
