Accommodation/Housing allowance for SIA cabin crew from overseas?

Someone asked this question as to whether a foreign cabin crew is given accommodation or housing allowance by SIA in Singapore (base).
The answer is no!  SIA does not give foreign cabin crew housing allowance nor accommodation except the Japanese and Korean stewardesses. All other nationalities eg Malaysian, Indians, Indonesian etc do not receive housing allowance nor accommodation.

All except the Korean, Japanese and Thai stewardesses  will received an average salary (inclusive of allowances) of $3,500 and Malaysian a salary of MYR 9,000 as stated in the SIA ads here

BT: The above is according to what I know. There may be changes after I left the airline.

Sometimes I wonder how these foreign crew earn a living, with our pay drop like siao, and roster getting worse with ex 345 crew coming in to share the pie, how they survive when still have to pay rental? Cannot be everyday EOB right...some still can hoot 2-3 properties, really amazing.
