"...Although BT has left the company, he still want to make $ out from CC wannabes and yet at the same time whack the Management/Union".
One of the readers of my blog left this comment about me. I have the prerogative not to publish it but I did. The comment is not encouraging and worse still the person who commented is "Anonymous". But being tolerant of criticism, not only did I publish it but highlight it over here so many more could read it. It's fine with me so long as it is not defamatory. By defamatory I mean for example stating that one is a cheat or a liar etc.
I think my method of handling the above issue is correct. I encourage people not only to comment about the subjects that I blog but about me too. In this manner, people feel they are being heard. Sometimes, the readers have to "let go" and this blog is a platform for them to do so.
SIA cc will not tolerate this sort of things and the highly pressurised crew has no avenue to release their frustration.
CC management should tolerate a bit of dissent which is defined as "to disagree with the methods, goals etc," Criticism may not be necessarily bad. It may even help the company to improve productivity.
This young generation of crew is unlike those of my era. They would not accept a punitive management but one which will listen to them.
Most of the management people in cc resort to punishment as a way to solve crew's mistakes and problems. It is not right because it will ultimately result in the crew being demoralised and unproductive. One should try and go down to "shop floor" level and listen to the crew. Help them solve their work problems and difficulties. As a matter of fact, a shrewd management is one who will do just that and the end result would better crew morale and higher productivity which is every company's ultimate goal.
Therefore, management has to change its mindset first before they expect the crew to put their best foot forward.
