Flying from Fukuoka to Singapore on SIA

The flight left slightly late but in the end landed at Singapore on schedule. It was a bumpy 5 1/2 flight throughout. The service provided by the cabin crew was excellent. On this flight, the Inflight Supervisor (IFS) was visible in the economy cabin. I was pleasantly surprised to see a female Inflight Auditor (IA) on board.

The toilets were kept spotlessly clean. The cabin was well kept and the cabin temperature was a cool 24 C . The seat was comfortable and relatively spacious. Pax load was about 60% in the EY and 65% in the Business Class. There was no First Class configuration.

Lunch was served and there was a choice between "Sauteed Beef with Rosemary Sauce and Basil Butter" or the Japanese selection of the main course. I opted for the former which was delicious.
Haagan Dazs Ice cream was served at the end of lunch with either coffee or English/Japanese tea.

5 years flying junior ..thanks for your comments. So you mean to say the toilets were kept clean because of my presence on board? If that was the case SIA should give me free flights to see that the service is tip top right?

Yes, if I am coy, I will engage with bloggers give them free flights when have empty seats (doesn't cost much) and let them write about it..but thinking how punitive and backward our mgt is, they will rather stick with auditors and demerit points and cut bottom line than think of creative ways to move forward...

7456No need free ticket.Even on Free or confirmed(balloted) ticket for retired staff, still on subload and even if FCL or JCL is not full,SQ won't upgrade the staff despite if EY is full.
What welfare? They rather bump off the staff.Even to pay the difference to be upgraded is not allow!!!

1st class pax = full fare paying
2nd class pax = industry discounted fare
3rd class pax = employed staff on duty
4th class pax = employed staff on leave
5th class pax = you.. retired & old

5th class pax have zero rights, check in staff dont even know when you are standing right in front of the counter.
