Talks for SIA cabin crew hopefuls is here

"My skin is perfect why SIA booted me?

This wannabe kept telling everyone SIA booted her at the skin check round even though her skin is perfect. She told my friend she had been booted out twice already.
I don't see any reason why she was not shortlisted at the skin check round if she had good complexion and no skin issue. I asked my friend to check and see whether she had tattoo on her hand or wrist.
Guess what? My friend found out she had a small tattoo on her wrist. "But I covered it up with a concealer and it was not that visible" she tried to justify.

My friend called me and told me the news. I told him to tell her not to waste her time trying for the cabin crew job. SIA do not recruit people with tattoo.

Many have regretted for tattooing themselves. Now they have to live with the consequences!

Yes, those who have them in highly visible places will get them disqualified.

There are many crew, male and female who have tatoos... just need to turn on the light.

Many have piercings too... just look for the lobangs.

There was a Css who had a tatoo peeping out of her low cut jeans. As she bent over, we could see it clearly... and we mentioned it to her:

"Hey!.. Eunice... can see your lobster man!"

She quickly straighten up and turned around:

" Its a scorpion lah..!"

Eh?... 'scorpion'??
Well, as one gains weight and get too fleshy.. scorpions will turn into lobsters...

Tatoos age along with the tatooed.
They will not look so hot when you get into your 60s...

Ya now (young) tattoo is cool but once reached my age it sucks la. But old guy is ok its the young ones who will face discrimination in job application etc

Then why some sia crew got tattoo? Why cc management do nothing to the tattoo-ed cc? I will complain to MOM.

Got tattoo need to report to MOM huh? So you post this type of retarded response, I report to who? IMH?

This is another classic example of how these youngsters today go about spreading lies as if they are the victims of circumstnce. It is shameful and uncalled for. Just like Hilary, the FSS who posted her recent comments.

We mean business said...

Someone has to make an issue out of this. Why sia allow its cc to have tattoo while the wannabes are being discriminated. I have seen many cc with tattoos on their arms and hands which are visible and yet sia condone it. I want to start a petition online to get sia to move its arse and do something about it OR don't discriminate the wannabes with tattoo.

Im sure you can have tats as long as they are hidden. Honestly how many youngsters below 25 these days do Not have an ink mark? I'm not saying it is nice or good but to them, it is just a statement they want to make. And to discrimated : lmfaolol. We mean business : o rly?? I doubt very much what u saw. they would have been booted out long ago if this is so? But tats covered by their uniforms, yes, maybe they hv. IMO SIA does not discriminate wannabes with tats, just make sure they are not visible . And of cos u must have what they r looking for duh .

Lobster tattoo wahahahahahaha. what is wrong with these youngsters today. In Qatar airways if u have tattoo even if its hidden by the uniform they wont employ u, if iam not mistaken emirates and etihad is the same. Best just go for laser treatment and take it off. iam sure medishield or medisave can cover the cost.

Any tattoo that is visible on the expose part of the body when in uniform is not allow. Any form of coverage is not allow when in uniform. If the tattoo is covered by the uniform then it's ok. CC are not allow to expose any tattoo when not in uniform under company's time. Period.

Exactly ^ . don't anyhow accuse comprain here comprain there.

Hahahaha report to IMH for retarded comments

Nah they hv and they still employ as long as the tattoos are not exposed at any time when they are working . It's not easy to find one youngster without a tattoo these days.

"What is wrong with youngsters these days" generation gap lorh ): we think they wrong they think we wrong.

Btw there's this very pretty and popular blogger with a huge tattoo at her back has indicated that she's going to try an sq interview and be cc

Imagine:

:yellowed finger nails ( from nail polish)

:stained teeth ( from smoking,coffee&tea)

:harsh make up colours ( to hide imperfections from insufficient rest)

:tatoos (on lower backs, thighs, breasts, navel )

It could be your wife

There is a steward with a yakuza style tattoo from chest until his hand. He has to wear a long sleeved shirt whenever he attends training in STC, including safety training.

The best person to ask is a current victorious union rep Desmond to show you his tatoo... if you are nice he will show you his piercings too.

Hi Boh Tong.

I'm an aspiring steward. I was rejected at the March interview at the skin check round after passing the Management interview. i think it was due to me declaring that I've got a body tattoo when they asked.

I went to the May interview again and was rejected at the skin check round after getting through the final interview with not much reasons.

Can i ask if i would be blacklisted in their database permanently? Or is it for 6 months. And that I'll be able to try again after 6 months with a clean slate.

Cheers

Most airlines do not want their cabin crew to look like yakuza. EVen if u get rid of it the scar will remain and they won't want u. Not only 6 months but seems like blacklisted permanently.
