Aiyo why so frequent cabin crew interviews in Jakarta ?

We will be conducting a recruitment exercise for cabin crew in Jakarta. If you meet the following requirements, we will be pleased to meet you at our walk-in interview.


Date : Saturday, 19 September or 10 October 2015
Venue: Service Quality (SQ) Centre Indonesia
              Wisma Asia 15th Floor (access via basement)
              Jl. Letjen S. Parman Kav 79, Slipi
              Jakarta 
Registration will be from 9am to 12pm

Last month there were 2 interviews and now 1 in September and 1 more in October. Looks like more foreigners are being employed than Singaporeans. Salary is the same for Indonesian cc and Singapore cc so this is not the issue of cheap foreign talent...right?
The cc interviews for Singaporeans are held less frequent than the Indonesian one.
Can someone shed some light on this please?

SIA are pro govt. Thats why they encourage FT in.
First they let in the JFss and we say nothing.
Then they let in the KFss and we say nothing.
Next they let in the Twss and we say nothing.
Next they let in the Idss and we say nothing.
Next they let in the Apnnss and we say nothing.
Next they let in the Tomyamss and we say nothing.
Finally they send up our pink forms and we realise there is no one else to speak for us cos all are FTs.

No la. Mgt and union will say difficult to find sikies to fill up these lowly FnB positions cos all wanna be pilots and managers. So the only way is to hire foreigners lor.
Cheap and good ma.
This is only the 1st step to get rid of the sinkie core on company. Just like how they prefer malaysians and other nationalities over our our boys as pilots.
Very soon you will find multi nationalities in our own national carrier.

I think the bloody Mgt and Union have lost their plot and fail to realise the dissent among us.
I can understand if foreign crew eg Jap or Koreans are hired due to language requirements.
However why must we hire Chinese, Indians and Indonesians when our local can do the same?
These foreigners and not jus doing China or Apnn or Jkts turns only! They take all our high yield long flights aways!
Give these people a hard time and force them out!

Ya lah. A simple cassete can replace all these so called foreigners with the lanuguage skills liao.
Airport toilet cleaners, taxi usherers are filled by local auntie and uncles while managers and pilots are foreigners.

Sia is only shareholder friendly not staff friendly. It's a joker company. Staff I'd renewal exercise not enough card to print. Give soaring flashcard to all crew to motivate them can tell you not enough stock. Joke of the year.

To the Anon above, pls use your common sense when you speak. Who is taking away your jobs? Ask Spore gals and they will complained about the long hours in SQ and would not stay long in the airline. Everyone knows that good service crew are usually not Sporeans. Why? Too proud. A lot of childish and ppl who can't make it in life are the ones who complain a LOT.

when majority of the crews are Malaysians and Singaporeans these days are the minority, if services provided onboard are bad one should think twice which nationalities are the one providing sub par service.

For the Anon who said use your common sense, you please use it too. The point of having interviews for recruitment & putting candidates through so many round, and having 4 months training is to select and train suitable candidates, not just take in people blindly. If a Singaporean is prideful the interviewers will know it just from the way you behave and talk during the interview day and I'm sure BohTong has seen many like that. What I tried to say initially is to give our Singaporean girls and guys more opportunity by conducting more interviews here in Singapore than in jarkata, if die die you cannot find people then it makes sense to go to FT than just having it as your first option, but sadly we Singaporeans are not even given the opportunity in the first place. Singapore Airlines is OUR flag carrier and the advertising icon is called Singapore girl so rightfully WE Singaporean should be given first preference and more opportunities than just seeking FT immediately.

and they post big big what they do in JFK, what they eat in SFO.
