Ex SIA stewardess on crew's lifestyles, overseas crew hotel accommodation etc

This is the second part of the chat I had with this friendly and easy-going former SIA stewardess. In this video she spoke of the things cabin crew usually do during their stay overseas, the standard of crew hotel accommodation provided by SIA, the loneliness etc. etc.

BT, today's walk in interview turnout at suntec is quite small. by 2pm closing time, only about 400 came (compared to a thousand plus at normal walk-in). i see they try to take in alot of ppl, even those cui ones also can pass.

Partly because many slept late last night waiting for the general election results. I may be wrong. May also be due to the haze.
Anyway thanks for the info :-)

Was watching the GE2015 and suddenly thought about this, has there ever been someone who badly wanted the SIA CC job but failed their first few attempts and got a MP's recommendation letter from their GRC and managed to get the job?? Haha just curious :D

I was there at the interview and 1 of my group girls was booted out but honestly I can't find a reason why.. She is slim, tall, has flawless skin and hair, makeup was on point and she's pretty too!! Guess you will never know how they choose ppl..

No other reason than to employ FT crew because Sinkies are viewed as "strawberries" who would later complained and whine about their job. Just go and read that exstewardess Hilary's blog.

What you mentioned are external points. She most probably has an attitude problem, cant think maturely, cant hold a decent conversation, observed to be constantly on her handphone while waiting for her turn, no eye contact, lack enthusiam etc. Doesn't mean that tall, slim, pretty will get her the job. SIA is not looking for prostitutes now so please get the idea right.

I was booted out at management round yesterday. I was surprised it was done on first day itself instead on e second day at the Sia training centre.
