"SPPS" Pax booted from SIA flight by flight Commander

Hello sir BT, Just wanna share with you more on the story of how captain offloaded the pax.

Capt wrote in his report that pax was uncooperative with the crew. He said pax had challenged his authority when he said "you're threatening me?" Capt wrote his concern that pax did not cooperate with crew during an emergency and does not want to take the risk.

Pretty much what you had shared alr. my cousin is a crew and he heard from his friend who was on this flight.

BT: I have removed the whatapps messages which were posted earlier on as I do not want to get the sender into trouble. The version is about the same as the above. The pax was a SPPS. Will update once I get more information.

A comment from another visitor:

Coming back to the crew, why didnt the any of the senior crew do anything, where was the IFS, the chef (males) to come in and put the pax in his place. Dont they have the gull to do any thing or are they afraid and let the fear sip into them.
In Qatar airways the male crew will come and put the pax in their place if they ever fall out of line rarely did the captain came out of their cockpit.
Before any of you say ME airlines and SQ have different cultures please dont delude yourself then tell me what are the male crew suppose to do stand there being pretty dont make me laugh. SQ male crew are a bunch of sissy's

That SOB thought the crew were his slaves. Spit "pui" in his food the next time he flies with us.

Why do SQ passengers behave in a disgraceful manner? Is it because SQ pamper them too much?
This asshole E.Ho is an employee of a company. He thinks he own SQ is it? I applaud the captain for having the balls to offload that nincompoop.

Hello BT

it's lovely to see your blog getting updated with interesting news again ;) Please don't ever close your blog!

May I ask what's CEM, BT? And how come pax wants to speak to ground staff? Sorry a bit blur don't understand his behavior :X

Thank you again :)

I don't think I will ever close this blog. It has been around for 9 good years. Many like yourself have been very supportive and asked me not to close it.

CEM is known as Customer Experience Management. It is something to do with SIA's interaction with VIP paxs hoping to keep them as life time customers. CEM is given to the staff/crew to keep them informed that these paxs are very important and be treated accordingly.
Me too, I don't understand why the pax wanted to speak to the ground staff. Perhaps he knew he was going to kicked out from the flight by the capt.

Well. Where is the emergency? Whether the bugger wants to cooperate or not during emergency is entire his own choice as his own life is at stake. Quoting saftey and security issues and bringing in possible scenarios is jus a typical modus operani of crew to get their way.
In this case, babies and elderly should not be on board then? All passengers should undergo a mental test to certify them fit and cooperative before a flight then?
There are tons of mudder farkers out there who fall into the category of 'uncooperative'.

Ask capt kool to try offloading the empress dowager or any of the familee lor. His balls will shrink

99.9% of pax who travel in P or J
do so on their company's expense.

Even if its Kwon Ping of Banyan Tree
or Wee C Y of UOB, the ticket is paid for
by the company... never from their own pockets.
And why should they?

That said, they owe an explanation to their
employers or board of directors on what happened
on their journey.

Courtesy begets courtesy.
But SQ( crew division) has always been spineless people
in handling such situations. They know how to bully, punish
their own employees ( the crew )but are speechless when pax
and non employees are concerned.

Its always another pax or tech crew that will rise
to defend the crew. Has any CCE/manager spoken out for operating crew?

Buy that captain a drink of his choice!

Dear Anonymous,

Please don;t take things out of context. By uncooperative pax, it refers to someone who does not cooperate with crew and may cause a problem in terms of safety of the crew and Pax.

Capt already come out and pax said he is threatening him, what are YOU going to do if you're the Capt? Leave him alone there? It is obvious someone is obviously giving so much problem to the entire crew.

Your ignorance is really laughable. What you said is a slippery slope argument - everyone just don't fly lor. Did MH370, MH17, QZ8501, SQ836, A321 pilots know that there would be an issue/ emergency prior to boarding? In the skies, Capt authority is the highest.

Please go and read BT new posts regarding offloading. You can really learn a lot from what he has written. Capt has the authority. If he assesses a pax to be a danger to aircraft, its his judgment/ decision. The Capt has to answer for his action for offloading a pax at the end of the day.

Kthxbye.
