Increases in IFA and Turnaround Allowances for SIA cabin crew

We understand that with the new cabin crew collective agreement, SIA has done away with the cabin crew Inflight Meal Allowance (IMA) and the Overnight Allowance (ONA) and instead compensate the crew with a higher amount in the Incentive Flying Allowance (IFA).

The IMA were paid to crew who work during breakfast/lunch/dinner period. B'fast was $9.50c, lunch $13.50c and dinner $17.50c.
ONA were paid to crew for each night they spent at outstations. The rates were $23 for Inflight Supervisors and $20.50c for other ranks.

The increases in the IFA and Turnaround Allowances are shown in the table below.

Total take home lesser now

Deceiving numbers. Allowance cut still way more than the increased IFA. In other words pay cut for Crew

6 years flying senior says:

We all know, only a selected group benefits, while the rest pay cut.
Just look at our LMA ...pathetic...

CC are usually ungrateful for what they gain in their new CA until they get a bunch of imbeciles as unionists who will get nothing for them.
A good example was the previous group which was inefficient in CA negotiation and resulted in CC staying in 3 star hotel, work like dogs and what have you.
Wake up CC and stop whining.

Ungrateful CC. Nothing is good enough.

You are only worth THAT much?
Only your arms & legs to serve, kneel and submit to
pax, auditor, CCE and their gangs.

You are easily replaceable.

Lucky they pay you something, otherwise they could
charge you a fee for wearing their uniforms.

The group that loses money are those crew without PD and CPF contribution.

All others will see a gain once factored in Company's CPF contribution.

However I do not agree that the turn around allowance should be packaged together with this. More money should've been put into the IFA instead of sharing it with the turn around allowance.

If the company feels that turn around flights have problem getting crew to operate, they should be coming out with something to solve it, not use my money to solve their problems.

Most FSS become ill when they are assigned to fly
turnaround flights:
SIN/HKG/SIN
SIN/MNL/SIN

No amount of money is sufficient to entice.
Its the work process.
Improve the on board processes and it will be better.
But as obstinate as the bulls, the inflight services people
& cabin crew managers love to bang their heads against the wall.
And watch the MCs submitted, flights go with 1 crew less, and
continue with chit-chats with crew who have submitted high number
of MC.

Keep doing the same thing and you expect a different result?
Einstein called it insanity.
