Steward burned captain's mistress meal

Ex Captain L was at a foodcourt having his meal with some people. We knew each other quite well back then when we were working for Singapore Airline. He has put on so much weight that I couldn't recognise him at first. We didn't speak with each other.
I remember this captain because of one incident that happened on our flight. He was rather rude to one of my crew. I will go into that a little while later.
In SIA, the pilots come under a different division from cabin crew. With other airlines (not all), cabin crew and pilots are in the same division or department. This mean that in SIA the pilots come under the Flight Operations division with it own divisional head (a SVP), managers and staff whereas cabin crew comes under Cabin Crew division with its Divisional head, managers and staff. Both belong to different unions too.
The cabin crew-in-charge on the flight (usually an IFS or Chief) is responsible for his/her cabin crew's code of conduct/discipline, work performances etc. Only safety related issues comes under the captain's jurisdiction..example, a captain can discipline a cabin crew for safety lapses. He should not get involved if it is a service related issue. The cabin crew C-I-C is responsible for the service. If a captain is unhappy with a cabin crew regarding attitude, service etc, the captain should report the matter to the cabin C-I-C.

Coming back to Capt L, on one of our flights, he had his stewardess girl friend with him. She was travelling as a passenger and he was the captain in charge of the flight. Instead of travelling in the economy class, he let her take one of the cockpit seats.
After the flight took off, Capt L came to the first class galley and ordered the steward to heat up his food which he brought from home. The first class was full (of passengers) and the crew was very busy. However, the steward obliged the captain and heated up his food. Unfortunately, Capt L's meal was slight burned. He was furious and scolded the steward. He demanded an apology from the steward but he refused as it was not part of his duty to heat the food. Actually, the food was for the captain's girl friend.
Since I was the most senior cabin crew on the flight he summoned me to the cockpit and demanded that I "screw" the steward. I explain to him that we have the first class meal for him. I explained to him that I would not reprimand the steward as it wasn't part of his job to heat meals that were brought from outside the aircraft. He was mad at me and vowed he would complain to the cabin crew management about our "attitude".

The funny thing was Capt L did not complain about us to our bosses. He knew very well he should not ask the cabin crew to heat his private meal. Moreover, it was also wrong of him to seat his girl friend and let her sleep in the cockpit bunk (it was a long night flight).

It was for the above reason that I still remember Capt L!

The capt must stop treating the FA like their maids. In BA & QF we would add something
to his food but SQ steward was kind enough to burned it.

What has happened to the blog on Lim CB's nephew and his 100,000 sq shares that appeared some days ago? Removed???

Yes it was removed bcos the person who took the pics was afraid of repercussion.

Aha. That person acted so fast! Had your blog not exposed his identity, not many of us would have suspected that it was him. A good wake up call. More and more people are becoming trigger happy with their shutters. A senior priest was punched for snapping a shot of a motorist over an arguement some years ago.
