Above is a screen shot of the coming cabin crew interview in Tokyo, Japan.

Cabin crew candidates from Japan and Taiwan are expected to submit video interview to SIA. This is something new as far as I know but it may reduce cost, manpower and time spent as compared to a walk-in or write-in interview.
For the other places, the usual walk-in still applies.
Any comments?

Seeing them in the video will give us the opportunity to see and hear them as opposed to just assessing them from the resume they send in or interviewing them on the phone. It also reduces geographical discrimination commonly associated with applying for work outside one's own country. You get to apply for a job you like without having to leave the comfort of your home.

158 cm is a little short isn't it?

Dear Mr. Luke,

Just for your info, the video interview has been implemented for Singapore recruitment too. We need to submit an online application then if shortlisted, we will be invited to submit a video interview. Which if successful, will be invited for further interviews.

Interestingly, walk-in interview is still going on too in Singapore on a different date. Any idea why there are two forms of recruitment process?

Thank you.

Best wishes,
Mike

PS: Oh ya, what happened to the other blog on interviews, if I may ask?

I do not know why Mike. Also I've closed the other blog because I do not have the
time to answer the questions posed.

Thanks Mr. Luke,

It's a pity Mr. Luke, that page has a lot of useful notes from you. Then again, I do understand that you want more time for other things in life too. Haha. Even now, I understand life is so short that I want to have time for myself to do what I enjoy and spend time with people I love.

Life is too short, hope you are enjoying your life too!

Best wishes,
Howard
