A line is drawn clearly on the F&B the pilots may have or may.....

When it comes to safety issues, the captain of the flight has the final say. Likewise, the cabin crew in charge or c-i-c is responsible in matters pertaining to inflight service and the overall discipline of his/her crew.
The main cause of friction between the cic and the captain or pilots is usually food and beverages. As for SIA, the rule is that the pilots may have their meals anytime when they report for work. Irrespective of how busy the cabin crew is (whether the aircraft is on ground or during flight), they must serve the pilots when they so desire to eat. They may have the business or economy class meals even before the the passengers. As for the first class meals (main courses), the pilots may only have them after all first class passengers have eaten and there are "extras" (leftovers). They have the right to the first class fresh fruits and coffee,tea or any cold drinks. They are not entitled to any other first class food. If they are served any other first class food like satay, appetiser, soup, desserts etc it is done with "goodwill" from the cic.
The pilots and the cabin crew belong to separate divisions in the company. Each has a divisional senior vice president. They also have their own unions. Therefore, if a pilot is unhappy over certain matters concerning the cabin crew, he will report the issue to his svp and vice versa.
The recent case of a captain complaining against  a cic for sitting in a first class passenger seat doing his paperwork is seen by the cic as a retaliation for not serving the captain something that he wasn't entitled to, eg soup, satay or first class desserts etc.
In my opinion, the cic was not in the wrong. However, if he was found sleeping in the passenger seat then he was clearly in the wrong.

How does SIA,expect the IFS to do their paper work,in the crew seat? At least on the B747 aircraft,there is upper deck cove to do his paper work.Helloooo SIA do show some welfare for your cabin crew.
As for the Captain,he is just an arsehole! Probably squabbling about his food! However, there are many nice cockpit crew.

A look at the various manuals would indicate that "....All cabin crew are responsible to the Commander of the aircraft, through their steward / stewardess-in-charge for the safety, comfort and well-being of passengers" and ..."The Cabin Crew-In-Charge (CIC) is responsible to the Commander during his tour of duty.".
If one has served the military, he/she would know that whilst the Warrant Officer "Encik" controls and discipline the soldiers, the CO is still the Commander and has final say.
That said, the purpose of crew being in different divisions in such big organisation facilitate administrative, logistical and training functions - but being stuck in the air in the aluminium-tube together at 39000 ft, crew only have each other lah.
So no point fighting (especially over the stupid food) and putting each other down lah.... Life is hard enough, so just enjoy life while we can - Live and Lets Live.

The person who shot the video (Frugal tafe) was given a tour of the MH aircraft and shown a small room where the supervisor does his/work.

No need to do the work in the first class seat.

IFS by deprivation, have some power over the Commander. One must come with clean hand.Some IFS deserved the boot for their decisions which is dependant on level of skills and proficiency. In this case the Captain can exercise his overral in charge from nose to tail of the craft and most of all the passenger.

The default office for the pilots is the pilot seat,for the operations of craft. For the IFS to write need a trapping of the White House ? Oak panel ,leader trims, hotline to Operation ?Writing good checks on the Syt, and bad for the FS. The default seat for the IFS is the take off,landing .Never sit down on what you cannot afford based on your salary and even your IFA.

He is supposed to work as hard as the FSS or FS right. Paper work is life and death issues ?Eat all the nice selection, chief ,next, then your favourite, the tell cockpit no more ?If FSS can walk from Lon to Sin, what is the problem here.Paid allowance for being Screw in charge right. The righteous is Crew in Charge.

To justify position. Argue with crew alway win. With Captain, better have reason that can survive inquiry. Or lose, default seat crew seat. Or other seat passenger only.

Now very common. The ifs will tell crew
I go and do my paperwork first. While the rest of the crew running around to serve passenger. Ifs doing paper work. Alot of paper work on board. More tgen those ao in office. Think company sld review the paperwork for for ifs. Filling up the chokes on and chokes off is alot of paper work. It also means the best syetem failed.

Pilots still very poor. They must have suffered a paycut. When they renewed the hotel contract. They should add in check in meal and check out meal. So they can eat before and after the flight.

Paper work generated by all the clever CCE, managers.. they love it.
They love paper trails.
It employs 2 senior clerical officers ( SCO ) just to read reports,
filter them to relevant departments..

Even with digitised devices... ultimately:

Yah, chocks on/off also must write..
idiot. Already captured in digitized format in ACARS..
whole airline knows ( if they have access ).. But Cabin crew allowance department
lives in a cave.

Double check you say?
Then should double up crew too... to ensure prompt service.

AM, CCE write.. its shocking.

No wonder the other divisions have no respect for them.
No hard skills never mind... kant write properly even.

For the record, these CCEs and AMs have reached the swan song of their careers. Last Anonymous is so right to say that they can't even write properly. To make matters worse, they are not able to put up a management paper. Not many of them have taken the trouble to upgrade their educational qualification even after being upgraded to Mgt grade in the early eighties. The silent minority who did somehow were not able to apply their skills. It was those who crossed over to become SMs saw their salary increased through promotions plus rental income derived from their homes in Singapore.

Am,CCE should see the dark cloud comming.Traditional media ,down .This Christmas should be the best time to ask Santa for wishes. It's going to hurt family, down the line. You should stop making objectisation of FSS.They are not leftover or whatever. Any girl would like 5 Cs .So would you sister if any. Any other star quality as Andy Lau would up to fickle heart to decide. It's up to them to clap their hands. It's whether they want your gene that attract them to want you,to continue human kind. Don't look down on yourself .Holding power is what matters. A Masarati to pick her up after flight would dash you heart, hope and cash you use to charm her. Don't waste resources. Choose one that fits your lifestyle. Fickle heart will go to where the better nest as shown in nature. Don't fight it.

Flew on Air France.

Their toilets are clean, with chock a block load from CDG-SINvv
Here is how:

they dont have paper hand towels
they dont have shavers
they dont have toothbrushes
they dont have lotions, colognes
they dont have paper cups or any cups
they dont have air sickness bags

They have toilet paper ( never runs out... which means constant checks )
They have tissue paper
They have liquid soap

Their toilets are dry, clean and the bins never ever overflow.
Their toilets are neat, and always tidy
Their toilet mirrors are also clean without water marks and stains.
Their toilet wash basins are clean and without pieces of paper, rubbish

SQ likes to give too much.. which is not required... more amenities = more waste
It does not raise the "premium" factor enough to warrant a 5-15% increase in EY fares.
It does not add value in todays world.. as values& expectations have changed.

Inflight services are myopic and Cabin crew product innovators are simply stealing
ideas from crew... which is not accepted by Marketing or Inflight services because...



.... NO ONE RESPECTS CCE /AM /Managers.

To Anon, heres my reply. Why dont you fly local Air and inject into the economy, the business will sustained down the line,like cleaning, food industries and so on. Upturn the downturn as one famously said.You got a gripe, direct a feedback there and the. Singland already bought cheese, wine and roses, we even watch Le Miserable.Dont added to more Misery in Singland, dont be Wicked. Their land masses are big, their vineyard four seasons, their River Seine. Their churches and Hunchback of Notre Dame. Their naughty places by their left bank, Playwright,Artist and all Morrison. Their beaches at Flanders, at Normandy epic battle which set Europe free from Nazi.

My guess, the AM, CCE been tied to their seat too land, too many in their Swan Song, call Kay Lee Roast Meat, trade in Swan for pack lunch, or a dollar more apiece. Also the swallow,have been overstaying CC, here too hot people will think its summer. Also too many Altars here for every KPI. Its the end here when suddenly the Altars got name. I already said dont play with Altars and stuff. And if they still dont get the message, give they play or horse to ride into the Sunset. But Fly Local. Dont be a Bad Hombres.
