Anything wrong blocking the sun from the pilots' eyes?

Reason a pilot covers the cockpit screen with newspaper is because of the glare of the sun. During my time with the airline, I have seen countless of such thing in the cockpit. It didn't come as a surprise to me because I did understand the discomfort of the pilots. I heard the deceased captain was reprimanded for that action.
Do you realized that you would be able to tell whether the pilot is a captain or a co-pilot when they are not in their uniforms? The co-pilot's right arm is usually more tan than his left arm and the captain's left arm is more tan than his right arm. This is because the co-pilot sits on the right side of the cockpit which is near the window and the captain on the left side. They both get a fair bit amount of sunlight during the day flight.
Have you ever witnessed a captain suntanning in the cockpit with only his underwear on? Well I did.

Tech crew not supposed to have newspapers on the windscreen. They are to stare at the sun and go blind... it is ok if they crash during the landing as it is the fault of sun.. they are not to wear sunglasses as it will affect their vision also..they are not allowed to eat or drink during the flight..they are not allowed to leave their seat and use the toilet as no one is flying the plane..they are not to read but to stare at the instruments only.. they are not to talk, only to atc.. they are not allowed to socialise with cabin crew at all...

No the deceased captain was not reprimanded. The management read the complaint, laughed at how stupid the Ifs was for writing such a stupid complaint and wasting everyone's time, and tore the compliant.. They told the captain and other captains to continue doing the same thing, and if the ifs is not happy, to tell the idiot to go fcuk himself and ban them from entering the cockpit.. Some ifs need to be Fcucked to wake them up.. they are nothing but head waiters And know fcuk about flying... they Should just remain sucking nipples and dicks ....

Actually the problem lies with this particular ifs. He is jealous of the Pilots, suffers from an inferiority complex and out to stir shit and cause friction between the cabin and tech crew. As far as the pilot management is concerned, they Ignored the complaint and took it that the ifs is just a sore loser and have absolutely no clue about flying operations..

An obituary has been published yesterday and today in ST in respect of a certain SIA CPT Helle SeenYen who passed away on Apr 25. Can anyone cfm whether he was the commander who was blogged as having died in his room in Istanbul recently?
