Crew's retirement ages and benefits


Just got this message pertaining to negotiation between union and management regarding the above. It's not concluded yet, I was told.

Good idea. These guys have short shelf lives. By 45,already bald and not so fit.Should be 50.Unions are the reason North American based airlines never appear in the top 10 for Skytrax.Too many uncles and aunties in the cabin.

As a parting gesture, management & union could arrange
pre registration for Uber & Grab private car hire for
crew who are interested.

Its the only lateral job transfer that is not demeaning, they are their
own boss, they design their own rosters and they can kick the annoying pax out.

No vertical transfers for crew... their skills cannot even qualify them for
F&B, no food handling certification either.. or barista skills.

Yup, private car hire is the alternative.

Uber and Grab reserved for the Pilots.. Waiter and waitresses jobs reserved for the Stewards an Stewardesses..

Or food court cleaners. Can put their expertise of clearing cabin into clearing tables.

The cabin crew can become escorts and make a lot of money if they're good. In Western countries, they can even become strippers.

Those frogs in the well are told during PFS they are professionals and highly sought after outside ma.
Plus with the recent renaming to Inflt Managers, these imbeciles have absolutely every reason to call themselves PM (professionals and managers) lor

Bad idea to have the LS retire at 58. Fact is they are already condemned in the company and a liability. As they know that they have no future at all, they are just doing the absolute minimum , ie cho bo Lan and kiao kah Yao Lum pah. The company should sack them instead . They can always become security Guards or toilet Cleaners ..

Ageed.Head of project wiil not even think if it.Their promotion systems sucks. Got to beat system by volunteering after flight in CC.Good for those without family liability like "ay and lassie. Neglect your aging parents to serve a show term gain.They need to revamp their MC system or another VY case, able to handle it ?Middle East Airlines reduce flight to USA,will affect SQ by better, cheaperer,able to throw everything at the passengers freebies. Think long term and for your own good,get to 25 years FOC tickets and out.Start afresh or get trashed in live.With Sexcy still around you will be preyed.

If they retire earlier, they may get a mental breakdown from having too much free time like the uncle who asked the young ang moh to sleep with him on the mrt. The uncle could be a retired cc.

Could be any retrenched by FT HR,not necessarily CC,but 70 % asked for it.Local will be jobless, hanging around kopitiam ,don't even know coup by Army of Foreigners Incorporated.Missy don't want baby because of Daft Factors, bad genes so become as you said talking rubbish or thinking worse.Singapore River awaiting ?Cannot be CC because water SEP done yearly.CBS might make a movies based on it.Don't KPKB later !

Where got people wait so long to becum supervisor? I got c sum in early 40s. If have wait that long then really should kick out.we wan only high performer.

High performer as with loose hands?Tell us how they are suppose to be rated,tested and selected exclude stay back after flight to coach. Performance as with the greatest skills in neglecting their old parents,infant child and wife and so on.Like Sexcy type if high performer ,carry bodek skills and sabotage skills and kick the CC when they are down like the video ?,Specify your criteria or Stfu.

Removing some items from service is alright.
Provided it is because they intend to improve customer
interaction or speed up the long winded service.

But, as we all know, that is never the true intent.
Ponder for a moment. .. is it to reduce the number of crew in EY >>
Now, that sounds much more like the VP's thinking!

The crew's salary is now very dependent on hours in the air
( mind you, its in the air not while the aircraft wheels are
secured with "chocks". )

No joy in night stopping in NYC.. not paid.
No joy in serving 300 pax with a ratio of 1 crew to 40 pax.
with that ratio, its difficult to manage a smile.. even without towels or bread.

Its a wonder that sweet young things are still attracted to the sarong.
Must be gals from the kampongs with no access to whatsapp.

They're not attracted to the sarong but are attracted to the exchange rate.
