Crew need TLC

I understand some of you are upset with me because I disabled the comments for this post. The reason I did what I did was because of the unfair comments hurled at the stewardess. Sure, she shouldn't have used vulgarities in the social media at the management staff. If one can understand what she had gone through one would at least sympathized with her. Sympathized with her you said? Yes why not? Sure, it's only a matter of time she will be asked to pack up and leave. However, by firing her do you think the company will solve the problem? You will still find crew going to the social media to voice their frustration It won't stop unless the management changes it attitude towards the crew.
Cabin crew are front line staff and any action they take or don't take will reflect on the airlines. Perhaps a little understanding and care for the crew may solve the problem.

Those who commented here are mostly anti Cabin Crew. It has been going on for years in this blog with lots of unproductive, hostile and negativity in the comments. They thrive on bashing Cabin Crew.

Those who run her down as not being SQ quality are
living in fairyland. They probably believe that life
is sugar & sweet with girls. Maybe if you paid for it.

The work environment on board is designed by idiots.
The work process is just as shallow.

Microwave oven takes 7mins to heat up one portion of soup.
This is for business class. It is sadistic to an employee.
Imagine if you needed to type your blog using a keyboard that
takes 7 seconds to respond to any key stroke.

Happy yah? lots of smiles yah?
Cheerful yah? love the company to death yah?

Even a retiree would cough blood.

Better for rebrand SQ as Sadistically Queer.

Don't blame the poor girl. She is the victim of circumstances.
Why passed such remarks like McDonald's won't even employ her etc?
Agreed the girl ought be kicked in her ass for using dirty and foul
languages but I blame her parents for the atrocious behaviour.
Management is guilty to the teeth. Can't you weed out such candidate
but instead you employ her because her father is also a crew?

It has been going on for years in this blog with lots of unproductive, hostile and negativity in the comments".For the Crew or against ?All case like VY still no update and wiil never be publish or public knowledge.Score 1 for against the crew.Bashing her where she is down ?She is young and SOP hardly crew friendly but directed and product of Gayee and Lassie with no social life suitable for slavery system,expected to slog from take off to landing,with no time for reflections.Some might not adjust with SIA Sir I Apologise for reset for all forthcoming complains.Crew Performance thrive on this doctrines.Some might not adjust pleading guilty when totally innocent,but operationally its holistic and move forward to the next.Some young minds could not take such mindbending way and thus the rantings.Name calling as unsuitable as other jobs ?Handlers are product of same mindset so either not peofessional qualification but push upwards due to length of service,cheaper than employing HR in CC.

SQ quality is not copywrited and those who left are better in all ways mentally.Most took the bonus and road run after 1 season.Those with no redeming or matchable skills stayed on.No loss to Society but better for family in the end.

Most can bear the indoctrination easier as they are seniors and dont do the acts,needed the fat IFA at end of trip.

AO underqualified,such remarks can be damageing to the crew,you like to be told that.?Imo apologise needed.The easiest is to rant,probably physical acts in out of office environment.The AO should be penalise accordingly,no less.

Which is worse ,the no good even Mac or the Ranthing.No insult no ranting.
There is a law for less culpabilty in Crime of Passion,not murder.Dont you think its similar here ?

the thing is most of the people think from the point of view of an outsider, if this has happened to you personally, you could have gone even more frustrated.

She just didnt chose to sugar coat her feelings, if she is a real nasty girl, she won't make it anywhere else, she should not be judged based on what she have said, at the end of the day, but then again, SIA's culture is as such, many people lose themselves trying to blend it.

many 'senior' crew always like to quote back in the days how nasty their seniors were, but they never mentioned that back in the days they could afford a few condos and live luxuriously.

At the end of the end it is just another job with limited progression, people used to dress up when for flights, now you see people wear slippers and wear torn shorts for flight.

Time have changed, don't continue to be a dinosaur.

Claudia just highlighted what is very wrong in SIA culture.. everyone gets treated like a piece of garbage back in STC. Those in the office think so highly of themselves and treat everyone else like dirt

New Job seeker keen to work here badly traumatise by deeply toxic work culture.Hence the ranthing.Exposing the truth will show those in STC with their little Caesars everywhere and their mini kingdom.Woe befall all who are unfortunate to be there.Like Jipkor up north,badly need change if somebody cannot take it anymore and hurt themselves,then enquries will follow.Those involve better confess in church.Doubt they have concience at all.Shame on them.

People in STC are insulated against all truths.
When a senior lords over a junior and with the purpose
of humiliating or belittling them, its a feeling of power.

This culture is the same as SCDF ragging. Seniors are involved.

It also reflects immature minds and lacking in higher level thinking.
When a IFM shows off his/her knowledge or experience, he or she feels
very good. The junior crew are constantly exposed to such behaviours.

One fine day, junior crew makes it all the way to IFM too.
And maybe IA ! and gets to audit his or her previous IFM from years ago.
( You see, that IFM is still stuck as IFM ).

So, what does the newly minted IA do to the IFM?
Exactly the same as what she/he experienced years ago:

"your footware does not conform"
"your cabin lights were not adjusted"

The attitudes and behaviour is perpetuated.
This goes on right up to CCE and even assistant manager level ( who are ex crew )

Highest academic level achieved: Diploma.
What are the chances of higher level thinking?
Does higher management knows about this?

Of course!

Then, to what benefit is it, to perpetuate this?
If you know the answer, you would have discovered the DNA of SQ crew.

Join as a crew, but have a plan to say sayonara...else you end up like
Kolveen Kwek, the condo management staff being spat on by PRCs...
