Many cabin crew and I am talking about the male and female as well about putting on that extra kilo.
It's very difficult to lose but easy to gain weight when you are still a flying crew.
The reasons are:
Proper eating habits and regular meals are probably the key to good metabolism.
Although much older now, I feel better in terms of health. There is more time for exercises eg. I brisk walk (2 to 3 km) at least 5 times a week and an occasional swim at the SIA sports club plus a bit of weight at home with my dumbbells.
I used to weigh around 73 to 75 kg at the age of 40 plus but now it's around 69 to 71 kg (age 67 now). My BMI is 23 which is ok but not ideal. My ideal BMI is 21.7 and to achieve that figure I have to lose another 3 kg to 67 kg. Click here to calculate your BMI.
Picture purposely taken with this background cos soon a condominium will be built behind me. The flats behind me (I live in one of the blocks) will soon be obstructed.
Many crew are overweight especially those who have been flying for a long while. Even some young stewardesses are seen to be overweight. Their kebaya uniform do not lie.
If you wanna lose your body weight, you may wanna check and see how I do it by clicking on this blog.
Good luck and stay healthy even if you are still flying.

The reasons are:
- eating at odd hours
- aircraft food are oily and fattening too
- improper meals at outstations
- irregular meals
- little time for exercise

The best way to lose weight is to work like hell on board. Go shopping during off-days and eat nothing but cornflakes or muesli.
