Very very sad! What is the use of spending billions on aeroplanes when the cabin crew can't deliver SIA?
SIA is lucky to remain in the top 10. With the conservatives assistant managers and cces whose ideas are outdated sitting in the office,how could SIA would ever be good again?
CX no.1 seriously????but agree EVA Air stewardesses are quite good, consistent good service when i flew with them twice. at first i was thinking hey how come nobody recognise this airline?seems like this survey quite accurate....

i didnt read the link but out of so many surveys, skytrax is most well known and read by most people all over the world. also, they surveyed millions of passengers, not just hundreds or thousands....
The reason ranking of SIA cabin crew is down to 5th is not surprising. Not only is their attitude to serving their passengers poor, their attitude when they go back to SIA training centre for recurrent classes like SEP and First Aid also sucks.
we must understand why instead of just blaming them....the current generation of youngsters, most come from at least middle income and above, their parents are rather educated and mostly are all working adults. thats why they dun go thru hardship and wont really understand what service is all about. most have low EQ and are not empathetic, most just come in to enjoy the perks such as free travel and pay. if wanna push blame, its the CCEs and management who choose them in the first place.of cos for current generations, not all come from ok or well to do families. those from not so gd backgrounds, they work hard, have 'strong personality' and wouldnt wanna be cabin crew. they might be the 'future' paying paxs and definitely they will demand good service. maybe some are already good cabin crew, but very few of them around.for previous generations, i think more than half come from humble backgrounds (parents are uneducated and dun earn much), thats why they are humble and work hard. naturally they are empathetic to people, are sensitive and know paxs needs well. thats why SQ service is no.1 last time.i think SQ prob need to have experts to look thru and revamp its training progs. know what are the needs of current paxs and come up with effective and efficient methods to train the current gen of trainees.

SQ fares not peanuts, still relatively higher than almost all airlines. Pay more of cos expect more....
