Infact as a former sq pilot and now working for a foreign airline. All these turbulence only happened in sia. The current airline I am working for. We always look out for impending bad weather etc. We are not allow any reading materials eg newspaper, magazines etc. Unlike the days when I am in sq, the pilots will talk on the phone before take off. Read all the papers and magazines thats is available. Munch on peanuts etc and let auto pilot do the job. Look at AngMo airlines you will know what I am talking about...everyone takes the same flight path. Why only sq.....the culture is so bad that I rather leave and be a professional pilot esle where tgen be here be bullied by the mgtment and atas 4 bar

I am a pilot. Throughout the flight, I do nothing but stare at the window in front, looking out for clouds and birds to avoid. I also stare at the fright instruments, in case of clear air turbulence, I can avoid, and make a u turn or emergency descent..I also look out for thunder and lightning, so I can fly far from them, for my safety, in case of lightning strike, so we won't get electrocuted.
I fly for sq. Normally the cabin crew will ask me to purposely fly into weather and turbulence, so that they can suspend service , and relax...and stay in their seat, especially when full load..also they ask me to put on the seat belt sign longer, so no need to serve coffee and soup.. At times when bored, I switch off autopilot and fly roughly to create false turbulent.

Turbulence is good for pax , so they don get deep vain thrombosis.. The turbulence helps to recirculated the blood flow within the body.
Comments sounded more from a taxi driver than ex SIA pilot...clearly doesn't know his stuff...turbulence can Siam meh....go Google...so many Ang moh or foreign aircrafts also hit by turbulence at any time...not only SQ..latest AA until kana divert so many injured...
yes. turbulence can be avoided. if you dont know any shit about flying, best to keep your mouth shut and let those in the know talk.
Turbulence can prevent DVT? Don't bull shit here. Anyway, it is spelt "vein".
"...deep vain thrombosis.. The turbulence helps to recirculated the blood....."
