Seven cabin crew departing from Milan Airport were exempted from joining the queue by the custom officers for VAT refund in their purchases of luxury items. Obviously, the crew were in a hurry to report to the aircraft for work and the Italian authorities were discernible enough to accord the crew the rights not to queue.
Some paxs (Singaporeans included) were not happy and accused the crew of jumping queue. They complained and guess what? The management back in Singapore dished out 6 demerit points to each crew to appease the complainants.
6 demerit points is a punishment serious enough to deny a crew from being promoted for a while.

This incident happened years back. Its true that BT always recycle stories.
Agreed the case was at least 2 yrs ago but I have just heard about it. I have not published the story before so it is unfair to say I recycled my story
whether this case happened years ago it doesnt matter because it is
still the same old dogs running the show
B.T. whether this case happened years ago or if it's a recycled story it doesn't matter.
