Is it wrong for crew to run their own business?

While on duty or on company's time (including during crew nightstop) when a crew buys something, example, vitamin pills, clothing and any products and sell them for a profit, it is considered as trading. This is unofficial and the said crew could be taken to task.
Also, a crew who does not seek permission from the company to register a business may also face disciplinary inquiry if found out.
To sell life insurance, one must also seek prior approval from the company. Selling life policy to colleagues during duty hours are also not allowed.
The best thing to do if a crew wants to conduct any private business of their own, is to contact the cabin crew management which will then direct the crew to the HR division.
