What happened on this Singapore Airlines flight?

While you can go to Singapore Airlines’ Facebook page to read the whole complaint, let me summarize the traveler’s concerns. This involves a passenger’s experience on June 20, 2020, flying SQ324 from Singapore to Amsterdam.
The traveler is a Solitaire PPS Club member (Singapore Airlines’ top tier status) who was in business class, a ticket he claims he paid $7,000 for (presumably SGD, which is ~5,030USD).

before meals must have champagne. wonder whether he have such insistence while waiting for his meepok or chicken rice in hawker centres

the change in service had been conveyed to paxs in advance. if he feels he had beenshortchanged, he could take another airline or Eycl.

Believed SQ can do better in providing an acceptable level of inflight service for the premium cabin without serious compromise on safety. If not, it's reasonable expectation from passengers that the airfare for the J class should be moderated during this period in which they have to provide such minimal service.

The complaint traveller do have a valid point.
Airlines across the globe are adopting similar service.
No pre-departure drink. No drink round before the main meal. No hot beverages afterwards.
But you do get champagne and wine in business class though.

Ha,ha,complain about service at this Covid 19 time.Its still early,and being struck by this,is imo a death sentence,and affects family and community down the line.Its not even abating still no vaccine,understudied and no herd immunity.Imo,what price one's live versus service and comfort in the aircraft,still demanding close quarter feeling,the perfect transmision route of the virus.Reengineering the plane should include hepa filters,negative pressure toilet,and ulvc gismo to eliminate airborne virus.If overpaid for trip,simply dont fly,or go private jets,the Airlines,all airlines seems to be in death spiral,whether it recovers from the dive is anybody guess,maybe astronaut type personal containment suit,individual air,whatever.Till then,price and service complain and comments form does nothing to ensure covid can hit,better to have safe distancing.Of course,anti covid premium surcharge added to price of ticket to ensure to spreading to community,which will cost billion paid by the country affected.Silly comments would not gain sympathy from the public who wont travel at this point,its an elite's pain,go find another job that does not need travelling.Currently preoccupied with voting ,for life and death choice,one can feel for the situation.
