Yes, I totally agree. The PRs do not have aged parents and young children. They do not contribute to Singapore's economy and their PR children do not need to do national service when they come of age.

All the PR cabin crew should also be made to go. This is esp true for the senior crew.

Why single us out? We stood by SIA for many years helping to
fill the gap when SIA can't get good SG people to be cc.
Have a heart for we have family too.
SIA should get rid of dead woods irregardless of PRs or Sporeans.

The PRs always like to gather around and hao lian..
say we will never convert because we want have a route back to
Msia to retire , Singapore is not a place to retire bla bla bla..
The very fact that they do not want to convert to Singaporean also because always talk big
i want to withdraw all my CPF out to retire..
Now is the time and all come out and play victim.
Why not volunteer for reservist and do army before you say have a heart.

It's really disappointing to see some people here - presumably cabin or tec crew themselves - show just what they mean by "team players". When things are good, you say a good flight is a team effort, reminding our colleagues to play their part in the briefing room. Now that the global economy, not just the company, is in trouble, you come here and share your true colours. It's okay to be afraid of what is to come next, but as a team, as a company, it is the strength and grace with which we face the storm as a team of cabin or tech crew, regardless of nationality, PR or citizen, that will determine how well we emerge from it. After all, which crew has not contributed to the company? Which crew does not have a family to go back to, to take care of? We are all just wishing for the best... It's not the PR/Foreigners who should go. It's those who don't know what it means to be a team player - regardless of how a flight goes.

I agree get rid of the pr cc, You are not family, you won’t born here, you are a pr enjoying the perks of spore benefits and the huge exchange rate when you convert back to rm. Spore should and will protect its own not the pr when it comes to layoffs, you don’t like this go back no one force you to stay here, that’s just the way it is, And if I recall Malaysia kicked us out Back then so now We just returning the favor.

During SARS, airlines like United, Northwest and Delta retrenched their foreign crew first. Amongst these were Singaporeans and Malaysians. A country should ensure that their fellow countrymen have a job and only after that, foreigners can be employed. Foreigners who love to work for an airline, can find employment with their own airlines (pre Covid-19 era).

Fact of life. If any of our Singaporean pilots working for other foreign airlines with a more lucrative salary, at the first sign of trouble, we will be amongst the first to go compared to locals. When the pilots initiate a work to rule “strike”, LKY told us he won’t stop Singapore pilots from venturing overseas and work for the likes of China Airlines, Emirates which pays higher salaries. But he warned that at the first sign of trouble, we will be the first to be made redundant.

Malaysians come here and join SIA in search of better pay compared to working with Malaysia Airlines, but the trade off is when you Are a foreigner, you’ll be amongst the first to go. Want job security? Join Malaysia airlines as a Malaysian. Many of us choose to stay in Singapore as our families are here and the job security, if not, we could be earning USD$400k tax free flying for Hainan Airlines

Those citizens who were unhappy about not having priority over PRs... Better vote against the PAP next time. Other countries governments are afraid of their citizens and favour their citizens. Uniquely Singapore protects foreigners.
