Will SIA survive the pandemic?
Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong last year said the government would "spare no effort" to ensure SIA made it through the pandemic.
Aiya SIA is too big to be allowed to collapse for 2 apparent reasons. 1) The success of Terminal 5 is very much dependent on SIA in sustaining the passengers factor passing through Singapore. Without a national airline there is no way you can bring in so many passengers.
The fact that we are still going ahead with terminal 5 will tell u the govt will prop it up if need be. So u realized it is too big to fall. 2) Reason number 2 is HEY YOUR FREE TICKETS AND MINE are also tied to SIA surviving. Lol. So u see it can only fall after l collapse hehe.
But seriously SIA and the airport operations make big contributions to Singapore GDP. Don't play play.
It can be nerve-wracking when u r aware of these technicalities and coming to realized what are at stake for Singapore to lose an airline and its airport. Many people would lose their livelihood. Hope Covid-19 won't bring it down. Scarry.

the whole idea of 'encouraging' vax is to open borders, let them in and let money in again
if they can integrate silkair into sq they definitely have the cash, else they could have just axed all ex mi first
