Hi, BT, thanks for your invite. I'm afraid I have to decline for the following reasons:-
1. I am not a CC and my opinion and views on the pros and cons of being a CC would not be accurately presented.
2. What I posted was mainly hearsay and not direct knowledge or experience. As mentioned earlier, I was rejected by SQ whilst 2 of my friends got the job. What I know was what I heard from them from time to time. In any face to face discussion, I would be at loss for response when asked by veterans like yourself and Sunny Gale.

Im a active commenter on your blog and my views are objective which you cant deny and coincides with CC job review on glassdoor.
I think you make a video of yourself explaining the good and bad of being CC in objective manner and your history with SQ.
That way, people who wants to join are better informed and not kpkb after joining about the job thinking it's glamorous and etc.
If people still want to join, great for SQ. At least they were warned by you beforehand.
Also, you did a video interviewing with a former CC member years ago but that video mostly explained the good of being CC and why she left and not the downsides of her job duration.
All talk a lot anonymously and now BT invited for a zoom discussion which will be recorded for the world to see or judge none want to accept the invitation. Such action or inaction is typical of Stinkaporeans.
Hi, Activie Commenter, not a bad idea. If I may, I would like to kaypoh a bit on your suggestion but, at the outset, I would like to assure you that my comments are not meant to pour cold water on your idea/suggestion. Please let me explain:-
1. From what I know, and like many large corporations, SQ is very protective of its branding and highly sensitive of its image. That being the case, they are not likely to take it lightly if any adverse comments or opinions are targeted at them directly, especially when specific instances are named.
2. It is not suggested that BT, yourself, or any interviewee will slip-up in expressing any views, but we all know that SQ, being sensitive, is not likely to condone or allow any criticisms in a public venue. Recapping my earlier KayPoh days, I remembered BT used to have the SQ logo in this blog. Understand SQ had requested it to be removed (perhaps BT can confirm this) so as to avoid any connection to this blog. At that time, there was nothing, if at all, to criticise SQ but it just wanted to take preventive action.
3. SQ, like other big corporations, has a Legal Department staffed with fully-qualified lawyers with expertise in the various areas. All it need to trigger some action is, when one of the many many top honchos make a comment against it and the Legal Dept is likely to swing into action.
The above are just my assumptions, and I could be wrong. So, in short, if this video is to proceed, caution to be exercised like being general and comments related to an industry. situation. A disclaimer should also be considered.

Hi, Anonymous of 18/9, I don't think the type of "action or inaction is typical of Stinkaporeans". Keyboard posters like us are prevalent everywhere, and not only in Singapore. So, not fair to blame us leh........

There are many advantage to be anonymous on comments.Free and uncensored views,unencumbered will cut the chase and give better solutions,no benefits to comments and more to lose on their privacy and reactions.Especially in local context,when white can be black and shades of grey,we have not reach the height yet of brilliancy and problems solving,especially sensitive subjects and blameworthyness,could led to backlash.Till acts of parliement pass acts of 5th amendments and self discrimination,anonymity is a sword,protecting the lives of truthfull commentators from zealots in our midst.

Hi, Anonymous of 18/9, as mentioned in my earlier post, we have our reasons for being anonymous. Contributions by Sunny Gale and myself had been reasonably objective and, in no way, offensive or rude. Despite that, you termed us as Stinkyporeans. What if a poster identify himself and post rude and offensive remarks? You call him a nice guy?

Hi, Anonymous of 19/9, well said. It all started with the personal attacks using the words "Stinkyporeans', followed by another with "Nitwits" and "rats". On such posts, we had to respond.
Perhaps BT should be the gate keeper to post only those relating to CC matters and not personal attacks. Whilst it is OK if another poster disagree with any post and criticise it (i.e. the post), it is a different matter to go personal and use offensive words against the author.

Stinkapore ,in area like Covid has done well against all other countries,less death more compliance etc.However in the areas of creativity and originality,research etc,lagging behind world's standard if any.It starts from kindergarden,etc then thru the educational system to reach new heights in education ,the barometer of a mature society each citizen,rising to heights of intellectual and philosophical stature not and never like Nkorea or even Chyna.Every citizen should contribute to building society,not knocking it down.UN motto,men are born free.If we are not then it's our fault for allowing it to happen on our watch.People who start call other nuts.should look at their hand,four fingers to self ,one finger to the 'nut'.Reputation wise we are perceived as more honest reliable and not as snaky or sneaky as foreigner,so who is a stink and a fink ?
