If he is a SQ cabin crew, I must say I will be very very surprised. Through my dealings with with CCs, then and now, I cannot imagine one behaving so unreasonable with such arrogance. Read that he would be charged with causing public nuisance. Under our Penal Code, "a person charged with causing public nuisance may face a fine of up to $2,000. If the offender had known that he will or will probably cause common injury, danger or annoyance to the public, or if he is a repeat offender, he may face imprisonment of up to 3 months, or a fine of up to $2,000 or both".

I think the monetary fine is nothing to him. I hope the AGC be of the view that the offender knew his action would be tantamount to causing "annoyance to the public" as well (at least to those in the bus). Otherwise, he will only get a fine. The DPP should then ask for custodial sentence.

In addition, and hopefully, SBS Transit will take up a Private Summons to charge him with Trespass to Property (entering the bus illegally without a valid ticket and gaining access by activating emergency switch) and Trespass to Person (he snatched the phone from its employee [bus captain] causing him to be in fear). SBS Transit should also render assistance to the bus captain to sue him in a civil suit for assault (forcefully grabbing handphone) and damage to property (handphone).

I'm sure his case will be followed by many and hopefully AGC will use this to send a message to like-minded idiots.

When he appears in Court to answer the change, full details such as name, age, occupation, etc. will be made known and reported by the media. Just wondering what will SIA do if it is reported that he is indeed a LS. I suppose he can argue that the incident took place outside working hours and was a private matter. He might well argue that it was the bus captain who started the incident and "provoked" him. If so, his reponse in using force was definitely out of proportion to the provocation. He is going to need a lot of luck to get over this matter and not many is going to wish him luck.
