Nah. Snr mgt need ppl like mad max, baba etc to do the dirty work for them. In their eyes,nothing wrong with slave drivers as long as they dont cross the line. Eg if you are the boss of a company, wont you like your mid and low level managers to whip those low minions to max to churn more profit for you? Or you pefer all to idle and leech off you?
Nimpeh rather have them doing nothing but leave nimpeh alone than harrass nimpeh throughout the flight. When nimpeh was fly with mad max and G foo, drink cart every 20 mins! They also never come down to help. The drink was pertually in the cabin throughout. By time finish 1 rd, collection, time to go again. Johnny, eddie never disturb nimpeh. Sometimes they do a bit work if they are bored. Ninpeh rather fly with those tua pek gongs anytine

The beginnings of SQ required fast deployment of staff including crew.
Many roles filled by ex civil service personnel. Not retirees, but civil servants enticed by bigger pay and the image of working at the airport, the jet-set image.
So, cabin crew roles were filled with ex prison officers, ex police officers, ex teachers, ex customs officers, ex SAF. Not "officer" ranks but NCOs. Some were junior officers.
And some became Managers very quickly. As such, they too looked at ex civil servants favourably, and more were accepted into being crew.
It became a nest of ex, old boys which developed into a sort of elite club, which protected each other. Not directly or openly but within the circle, early warning systems was in place. From accusations of bullying to best flight patterns, courses, promotions.
This has faded since the removal of 'AOTC' tittles and associated people. The remaining few have also recently retired.
But...
Meanwhile...
From the old boy culture, TPT has kept the back stabbing part while destroying the camaraderie that the old system had, despite its negative traits.
Now, crew are just 'bots' Work, work, work... Soul-less...
Some small groups struggle on to maintain some 'human-ness' It is futile.
It's illogical for CC to have such attitude,working to the detriment against human workplace and any other standards.Its sinfull,just to get accolades as no 1,when it's forced not when aspiring for naturally wishes to done all for the pax .No wonder Kiwi Air got the most happiest crews,when one fears for loss of jobs due to predatory practices,karma says Orgs loses more while workers can change and adapt and migrate to the next.There' are no pride, not meaningfull to be standby toilet cleaners,vomitus,and in time of covid endanger oneself by unsafe practice of cleaning after covids suspected pax,even nurses, Doctor masked themselves head to toes,similarly CC should unless some are more equal than the other,hence disposable digits to profits.
