Why some people are envious

I flew back on FUK/SIN recently and was served by the crew that spent 3 nights in Fukuoka. For the 3 night stops I think each crew was paid an estimated $1,000 for meals, location and ifa. They literally had a vacation in Fukuoka. Plus they stayed at a 5 star hotel with each room to themselves. I think this is one of the reasons why some people are envious of the crew. What's so difficult or tiring serving one meal and a few drinks to the passengers over a 6 hour flight?

The people i envious of are not these waitress. I am envious of those who fly in their private jets to have wanton mee in HK in morning and come back by noon or watch football match somewhere while they have MBAs and president scholars zoom meeting and making money for them whilst they are enjoying

Hello anonymous above me, BT was referring to the 3 night stay crew and you are talking about the 2 night stay in FUK. Don't misinform the readers please!

Hi Boh Tong

Knowing well most crew are young, $1k earned isn't very much even you spend in other countries where cost of living is lower certainly not Fukuoka.

No point being crew either where you save 1k and being stingy of not spending. No point saved million dollars by then age 60 and drop dead anytime.

Tio bo?

SQ656 SIN -FUK
Frequency is: Tue/Thu/Sat

Crew operating SQ656 on Sat to FUK will have

Sat night
Sun night
Mon night

They will depart on Tue morning leaving the hotel at 08:00 (about)
It is one flight per week that allows the crew to stay 3 nights.
It is extremely rare to be rostered for this flight.
2 crew will be Japanese guaranteed. That leaves 8 crew who are non
Japanese.

There are more than 7,000 crew. Draw lots to fill the 8 positions..
