I can't get over his demise,because Smokey was such a fit man who was always positive in his outlook. Many years ago he was our cabin crew football captain. He did not smoke but drank a little to keep healthy. The last time I met him after his retirement was at a cafe with a young lady. When asked how he was getting on with retirement he replied that he was in good health and was having a blessed life.

BT,it seems yesterday,the plane from China had left engine still on fire on the runway.The overwingvslide was deployed.Thought is should not be used,only the other side to be use.Plus carrying overhead bagage along, first user will damage the slide.Crews failed to instruct or moment of mayhem.Plus related to washing laundry cases,a billion dollars question.More to come,how difficult is it to fix ex China maintenances for a few dollars more ? I could be wrong.

Fire started after landing and during evacuation.
Cannot stop pax from taking hand luggage... goal is to get everyone out
as fast as possible.
Crew did a good job... both tech & cabin.
Slides are not made for baggage,it can rip apart the fabric,include stiletto.Baggage can claim from insurance.Body burned by a/c fire can remade ?Wise up,live another day,control tower can see the fire.Only crews whose first language not English reacts differently.Remember the crashed at the before,most perish,and the upper deck staircase collapsed,hereforth no more stowage above staircase.Frankly,in time like this,just save oneself,push thru all idiots overboard who value their baggage and live another day.In the end ,training helps.Could be another Tik took moment to record.
Plane Sop is to get all pax out,not baggage.Avoid any airlines that suggest get all baggage out.Totally against all sense.Anyone who espouse baggage first policy a total idiot,deserves to be burn to a crisp onboard,during evacuation.
No one said take your luggage.
Crew cannot spend time to stop people with luggage during
evacuation.
You can try to be the one to stop a person or two with luggage
You can stand there and decide if a handbag, a backpack is allowed
amidst a sea of people scrambling to get out.
You get a medal for helping.
In an emergency situation such as fire in engine or onboard ,there are practically no time nor ability to control,direct the frightened and maddened crowd to evacuate.PA sounds,evacuate ,assess outside for direction and situation,location of risks,include fire signs ,alternate route to exit,and simply herd mentality head to the doors.Include trampling over those who wants to carry baggage,they shall be toast.He who hesitate is doomed,sorry to say that,but its to point out split second decision matters.As in Terminator you want to live,follow me !As in the Tpe 380 incident,the storage baggage area collapse,blocking the exit downstair trapping the crew and pax .Thereafter,the storage area was reduced ,it does not make sense to contribute to self destruction by ones own bags blocking the staircase down to exits.Lost baggages,damage can claim via insurance life cannot be reset thru any means.The moral of it all,bring credit cards overseas,travel light,happy ending not guaranteed on any plane,anyflight.Sorry to sound dramatic and fatalistic,because that is what it is.Of course fake parts cetification on current situation does not help,needed to sort out all plane flying Marx ,the worst.So choose the best,which happens to be your local Air.
