Ng Yak Keng was a low profile crew but all of a sudden he is in the limelight because of his retirement a few weeks ago. He is 67 and had served SIA for 46 years.
Soon when the crew retirement is extended to 70 years, he won't be the longest serving crew with SIA.
Recently our crew served a biz class Muslim pax pork or more specifically prosciutto. The pax did not order Muslim meal but he did ask the crew whether prosciutto in the salad was pork. The answer was it was not pork and safe to eat. Later the pax found out that it was pork. He complained and the news spread like wildfire. He refused the compensation of 30,000 Krisflyer miles. SIA is in contact with him and trying to find a solution.

Back from SG few days ago. Strangely I didn't enjoy much of the food except for curry fish head at Apollo Banana Leaf.
Weatherwise, it was similar to the summer months in Fukuoka. I met up with my schoolmates and friends. Still missing SG as usual!
