This is a Singapore Airline (SIA) blog . The stories are written by an ex cabin crew. The stories are about the crew of SIA, especially concerning cabin crew and pilots.
do you think that cabin crew will be allowed out of their hotels anytime soon? what about a career switch, is now an advisable time to join as a cabin crew – is there room to grow and learn? considered joining last time as they train soft skills like communication, interpersonal skills and personal grooming. now i am not too sure...
If you are "not too sure" about joining as a cabin crew, my advice is don't. Crew would be confined to their hotel rooms during nightstop once the pandemic is over.
who in their right mind will join SIA as a cabin crew now? High risk, more demanding and rude passengers, lower overall pay, limited to no progression.
then again if one has no desired skill in the market they can join because cabin crew required least amount of brain work. All the much boasted "soft skills" are useless when it come to career switch, they are good to have but definitely need a strongly based hard skill(s).
