Why the change?

I am wondering why SIA is reverting to the walk-in interview for cabin crew. The walk-in has ceased and in its place SIA has introduced the online interview for the past few years. I am referring to the interview in Singapore.
Is the above change due to cost or what? Covid cases is still very high. Will the large crowd at the interview registration cause the Covid cases to escalate? No one will know the answer until days or weeks after the interview which is to be held at MBS on 30 July. Let's keep fingers crossed.

Its not back to normal,if the cases shown. To fill up 380 full etc entails a risk.Sky high fuel price, and profitabilty seems a pipe dream. When fund disburse, eventually need to pay back in future.Uncertainty in world's situation does not help. Now buzzword is safety, covid free after landing. There is such thing as covid after vaxx.Closing one eye to the facts not helpfull, even pax survey should be affected, covid, monkeypox endemic ?Best is online visitation, cheaper, safer, and betterer. Those days of attention to pax whims and fancy and best in the world by skytrack,a pipe dream.

Most likely because online interview cant see much of body language until they go to STC. Probably, the trainers complain the wannabes aren't the standard they look out for.

Face expression with talk can help so far through Zoom. Physical presence is still needed to determine the wannabe suitability.
