Captain Dara Singh passed away on 14 Feb 2023
We lost a nice captain yesterday. RIP Capt Dara Singh.

I must confess ,I met him once. It was in Dubai or Bahrain. Together with Derrick Issac I think Having a Black ,a tipple ,and soon Was walking around the place with extra legs,in tights and a walking stick. With a lovely FSS,a lovely lass.He was giant of a man,with many tales. Of incidents with the joysticks and more. The higher we were,the more joyous the party. Those were the days,of being souls .Away from home,in a strange land.Like the poem 'Ozmandias' I met a stranger in a distant land.He told of tale beyond my sense .A huge statues in the sand. On it inscrubed."I am King of kings .All these you sees are my land.Despair and bow down,puny man.These are my kingdom,you are slaves in the sand.To live ,follow my edicts,my rules and comprehend.The sand of time will swallow you in the end.Only I will let you live,by my edicts.Do you understand.!At that point in time,we were higher and higher than 35000 feet.Those were my tales,told to mark the passing of a great man.RIP Skipper,your journey ends.
1 of the nicest captain who did not bother the cabin crew. Seldom eat or drank on board and always respectful towards the cabin crew. Loved sushi and his Black Label....RIP Captain Dara Singh!
I've known Capt Dara since 1992. Very jovial, humorous, laugh most of the time, kind, respectful and etc. Great PR and get along with people around, a very confident guy , hard to break his guts and very lovely guy. His great lines in punjab " Maragi murugi pandey heh" means mothers chicken died. And his absolutely loyal to Johnny Walker Black Label could not be separated...his music " Love is around" by Wet Wet Wet band, " I don't wanna talk about it" by Rod Stewart. And Capt Dara have such an extraordinary energy to entertain people from all across different background. Nevertheless his sidekick Kay keeps the Caption charming forever. I shall miss Capt Dara, may you RIP and we shall meet in our destiny. Love you Capt 😔😓
