Is SIA food that bad?
- A social media user recently posted a photo of a Singapore Airlines meal and questioned if standards of the national carrier were dropping
- The passenger claimed that a packet of plain crackers was given in place of dessert and fresh fruits, for instance
- Other online users echoed similar sentiments, with some saying that they felt portion sizes were smaller and the quality of meals have worsened
- The airline said that regular audits are made with catering partners to ensure quality of meals served in-flight
- It added that it will take into account customers' feedback

Almost all airline food tastes the same.
The problem with SQ is that it has oversold itself.
And customers expectations rise with it.
Much of their business is targeted at business people.
So I do not understand why they would advertise
economy travel.
It results in teasing people to fly EYCL and travelers
expect some "atas" standard, which SQ cannot fulfill, result
is balloon burst.
Not sure about having stainless steel cutlery in EYCL as opposed
to plastic. The amount of washing, inventories as spares, weight... this includes the linen in JCL & FRCL.
The destinations that SQ flies to are not exactly vacation cities,
but business centres. Many Singaporeans and perhaps regional people,
have been attracted to a product that is not suitable for them.
Corporate business is what SQ is after.
Not the holiday, leisure market.
Food much better when you're flying in Business Class and above. Otherwise be in expectant for such lower quality food on board
All food in SQ are precooked,and microwaveable no real kitchen on board.Want good atas food go fresh food outlet on ground.Air pressurisation ,ambience on board not for fine dinning style ,the tastebud,stomach reacts negatively,all food taste bad no matter what is being served.Stop whining and get real,or fly your own or slow boat.Immediately after landing,when depressuries,the stomach change to hunger mode.You cant't afford it,your own feels,on your budget.
