This is exactly the sort of wife and mother someone gets from a stewardess! I can give you many examples of how a stewardess mum/wife behaves.

She should still make the effort to reach out to him......not unless she already has a family of her own but did not tell them about the baby she gave up.
Worst case scenario is that she is not alive anymore or is in some nursing home suffering from dementia.

Therefore, socially alone outstation,and personality issues,will soured the esprit de corp,it becomes more on personalities versus job scope.A weak union, fighting for their rank,instead of protecting the members,plus home issues,that cannot be solved,a young mother don't have help line to turn to.Thus ,a surgical break, abandoned,and as a result,the infant suffers.Fair comments or not,it isn't accurate,nor actual,unless the subject itself reveals.There was a case,long ago,when an FSS was reported to crying,from Takeoff to Landing due to their love life gone bad.The actual cases are many, heart breaking sad.So,it's beat to be open minded, and non judgemental,each cases, different and many issues,and solutions.My take,and hopefully it ends well.

Don’t know why always got such demeaning and sexist attitude towards stewardess in your blog posts. No idea if the commenters are male or female, but maybe their mother didn’t teach them manners or they learnt from their father that it’s okay to have such views against women / stewardess and speak like that.
Thanks for letting me know many like them actually exist and visit your blog, giving their boorish opinions to others on how to live their lives. Bless their kind hearts.
Dont bring in father mother into argument like a typical low SES sinkie. I presume the same applies to you ie perhaps your mother also did not teach you manners to respect the opinion of others. I have seen, heard and experience myself how a stewardess wife/gf experience many many times. As a gf, thy drink and sleep around outstation. As a mum, they ignore their duties by leaving the kids with me while they fly off to relax and enjoy life. Come back sgp, they either sleep or go high tea or do facial. The list goes on... stewardss join cabin crew due to a character flaw ie laziness or what hokkien term as 'nua'.
Bravo!! Clap! Clap! You think stewardess are angels that cover blankets for you like in the ads? No! They will say balls to you! You cover your own or you cover for them! Or you think stewardess kneel down and feed the business class 5 yr old 'no hands' kid like in the recent tiktok? NO! They wont bother to even feed their own kids! The helper or the grandmother will do it!
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion including you.

Flight attendant's work and lifestyle is always seen as
glamorous/fun/special.
It is borne out of lack of real knowledge or rumour mongering.
Flying has and still is seen as a unique activity regardless
if you are working in it or using it.
It is really tough work.
The laughter/smiles that is seen is because 80% are
still youthful and have the energy.
And most try to forget about what happened during a flight.
"Chocks on!!" and we erase all that happened, like the flight data
recorders.
The story about the mother who seems missing does not have sufficient
information. Thus inviting speculations.
In my opinion, leave the mother/ex crew alone.
It has been many decades.
In our youth, we make decisions for the moment.
This has not changed to this day.
The past we cannot change
Live in the present and prepare for the future.
Share the knowledge if others are willing to listen.
