I was told that if you are caught or mistakenly caught shoplifting in Japan don't argue or try to engage a lawyer to fight for you. Simply apologize and pay up for the amount of goods plus a penalty of about 10 times (negotiable)of the value of the stolen goods to the shop and you should get away with it.

You always say you heard this, you heard that. Or you were told by someone etc. So in this case, who told you? Some AIC? SM of japan? Japan police? The shoplifter?

Really ah? Where is the black and white on this law if I want to shoplift in Japan? Can i quote you or your so called sources? I also heard you can get away with molest in Japan if you offer the woman to touch your privates 10 times.
Of course I blog what I heard and believe it to be true. I can't be at the scene.
