In pain but greeted by a soothing familiar voice
I was rushed to the Emergency Department of Sengkang General Hospital. The pain in my lower abdomen was unbearable. As I arrived at the hospital entrance, a familiar voice greeted me. SL (not his real name) recognized me even though we have not met each other for about twenty years. It was also amazing as I was wearing a face mask due to the current pandemic. I now have a headful of grey hair which was charcoal black twenty years ago. In spite of all this, he could still recognized me.
SL was an ex Inflight Manager with SIA, an ex colleague of mine. He is now working as a health care worker. For that brief moment, when he called out my name, the pain in my abdomen was gone. I was glad to see him. Everything was in a rush and I was unable to communicate much with him. However, I promised myself that when I come out this mess alive, I will pay him a visit at the hospital.
I kept my word and after my discharge I paid SL a visit this morning. He was pleasantly surprised to see me. We exchanged phone number and spoke for a while (we couldn't talk much as he was very busy with his work).
We will meet again and this time when he isn't working.

Fully vaccinated crew quarantined for 3 weeks
I understand a flight with fully vaccinated crew a few days ago had transported a Covid-19 positive passenger from Jakarta.
This has resulted in the crew being placed on a 3-week quarantine in a facility in Singapore. 3-week isolation is, in my opinion, too long. 1 week should suffice since the crew were vaccinated against Covid-19.
What say you??

The so called pandemic is hurting the economy....
The world should open their borders and let people visit their countries without restrictions, just like the pre-covid days. No quarantine needed for visitors and all as long as they are vaccinated and tested negative for Covid. Otherwise, the global economy will fall apart and more people will die due poverty, bankruptcies, suicides etc.
Be brave and take the risk to restart the economy.
