Better plan to leave before the 7th year... Of you join at 18, add 7 years and you will be 25 years old. At that age, still marketable and still have fire to learn.
If you join at 18 and stay for 15 years you will be 33 years old. Either start a family or you will find it very difficult to move to another job and learn new skills...

If I'm a senior leading crew, at the end of my 5th contract, if I'm not promoted to Chief, does it means I'm not extended and be pushed out?
Even if you are not promoted I think you may still continued working for another 2...5 year contract provided your work record etc is acceptable by SQ
