IFM may not have abused ex MI stewardess as alleged

From my investigation, SilkAir stewardesses do not operate A380. The OP stated in his email that the IFM abused the SilkAir stewardess in "the presence of 23 crew members". Therefore the OP's complaint is questionable. The IFM concerned is not so popular with many crew and it may be a case of "sabo". However, I was told he is now under investigation for breaching some company's rules and regulation.

If it was a "sabo" case, as you put it, then the OP is quite a crafty person for coming up with such an unusual incident. On the other hand, the incident could have happened and OP merely wanted to hide the identity of the MI Stewardess. Well, I suppose only the IFM will know.

Times have changed. In the early days, when IFMs were known as Senior Chief Steward (brown jacket), crew were more obedient and many see it as a life-time career and would take all types of brunts. There was no social media to voice any grievance under the cloak of anonymity. Nowadays, many just planned to stay for a few years and "see the world". And social media is part of our daily life.

Going forward, looks like the IFM will have to be more careful. If the MI stewardess incident did happened, I must say I am surprised. How could a senior crew said such a thing in the presence of witnesses. But then, another reader did post his experience with the IFM - he had insisted that the whole crew have dinner with him after an European flight - and there's a whole team of witnesses. You just need 1 or 2 unhappy ones.
